This is such a moving sequel to the first book The Light We Lost. The MC, Lucy, is beautifully drawn with strength, empathy, and resilience. She carries the emotional weight of her world and her family's on her shoulders and rarely thinks of herself first. Lucy's first person narration is the strength of this series! RTC!!

The further I read the more I love and I loved the first one The Light We Lost, too. But this one is more family centric and because of that, I think I love it more!!❤️
