So, when I found out that David was reading my novel, , I decided to get started on Fake Kate because I enjoyed the symmetry. However, we made a pact not to review each other's books until we had both finished reading.

Today was chosen for simultaneous review posting. This was much more terrifying than I imagined. Waiting to read ...

The Cat Fantasy - Post #1

Those of you who've started reading will be aware that one of the reasons I write Kindle books, is to raise funds to keep a cat, at some point in the future.

Over the last few years, I've been photographing admirable cats. Here is a photo of one of my favourites so far.

White bellies and paws are some of my favourite catty markings.

Seesaw Launched Today!

My short story collection, is now available to download.

I'm very excited about this collection because it includes my personal favourite (On the Rocks), my number one bestseller (Lipstick and Knickers), and the one which was the most fun to write (London, the Doggy and Me), as well as seven other short stories.

Here's a brief blurb:

So called because of its alternation between laugh out loud comedy and more sinister, psychological tales, "Seesaw" showcases some of Rosen's most loved...

Sneak a Peak - Preview of Seesaw Available Now

My new short story collection, will be available to buy on Saturday, 3rd March. However, the preface is available now, for anybody who wishes to sneak a peak.

It's New Year's Eve 2011 and I'm sitting in the emergency dentist's waiting room with toothache. Immediately, I dive into my bag...

How to Sell Your Novel Using Short Stories

The cheaper your book, the more people will buy it. However, it can be gruelling to put your full length novel on sale at less than £1 when you know it's worth more than that. It's especially upsetting in the case of Amazon, where selling a book for less than £1.49, drops your royalty percentage from 70 to 35.

So, what can you do to draw in readers who aren't prepared to pay full price for a novel by an unfamiliar indie author?

The answer is short stories. Either write about the characters...

How to Handle a Bad Review

You only have to look at , statistically one of the most popular books of all time, to see that any author is at risk of receiving bad reviews.

"This is the single most apallingly overrated nonsense I have ever had my displeasure to read." - M. Bosman "anarcho-dog" (real name, apparently...)

"How boring is this book? Words can't describe it; it is so childish and the characters are totally one-dimensional." - A Customer (a name undeniably overflowing with richness.)

"After r...
