I enjoyed the book. I found it believable. The fact that a non-verbal autistic girl muttered names on a list is possible, I suppose. I liked the characters. I found the ending very satisfying. | |

While I loved the writing and the characters, there was a big jarring disconnect over how the girls were found. I could not suspend my disbelief for it. I did like the investigation after that. This truly was a bizarre case. | |

I need to state that I did finish the book. I didn't like it from the beginning when the detective used "they-them" for pronouns for the dead woman. That was weird and "telling" for the rest of the story. Using such outdated politically correct jargo ...more | |
