I'm also big into mythology so all the Rick Riordan books are great and he's got Greek, Roman, and Egyptian covered! All very well written and the Greek actually do a few cross-overs into the Roman series so that was fun.(less)

Are there descriptive sex scenes? That's a must for any romance book at this point. That and damsel in distress but she's confident and not written as a helpless idiot. Should i read?
Tanya Depends on your definition of "sex." There is sex in book 1, just not intercourse. It's not very descriptive in the manner of Diana Gabaldon sex scenes, but there's no question in my mind exactly who is doing what to whom. Or maybe that's just my imagination. (less)

For me, there was too little plot and too much sap and badly written romance, and I can tell you with certainty that THAT gets *a lot* worse. (less)

I enjoyed the book, and look forward to reading the other two in the series. However, is it just me, or did the relationship between Matthew and Diana resemble another vampire/warmblood couple from a different series? His protectiveness, etc. were all very reminiscent of Edward. And her actions/emotions towards him reminded me of Bella Swan.
