I don't understand why Caroline throws the bottle back into the Thames at the end, and decides not to reveal Eliza's identity and story. It doesn't make sense. The whole purpose of Nella's log book (the reason she never destroyed it in the first place) was because she wanted those women to be remembered. Soooo...??

First because it was to be the basis for her dissertation, and secondly because she claims to want to know the trut…mǰTotally agree, this made no sense. First because it was to be the basis for her dissertation, and secondly because she claims to want to know the truth about history but will not write the truth herself. Just another reason I didn't like her character.(less)
