I have read most of the Lynley books and in Something to Hide I really notice the way you characterize Winston Ngata's speech. I on't remember his speech being colloquial in the other novels. Have I just missed it? Is his speaking part larger in this novel?

Yes, his speaking part is larger. Getting it right is tricky, though.

I am an enormous fan of DC Barbara Havers, and having just re-read “The Punishment She Deserves�, I am eager to read Lynley book #21 upon its release in May 2021. The problem is, I cannot find it available for pre-order. In fact, it’s not being plugged on your own Web site or on your publisher’s. Are you able to recommend a site or two where I might pre-order this book? The Poisoned Pen, Barnes & Noble? Thank you!

I listened to your interview with Laurie Frankel. Lynley #22 will play out in Corfu? Also curious about the influx of twins. Isabelle Ardery has identical twins, Daidre Trahairn has fraternal twins as siblings. Add on Mignon and Mannette in Believing the Lie and Angelina & Batsheeba in Just One Evil Act. Why so many twins? If you bring back both Isabelle Ardery and Dairde you bring back two sets of twins. Why?

I found my first Lynley book in the crew mini library, about 15 years ago, while working on cruise ships. I became a fan right away, and in the next few years I read all your other books. Trying to understand how John Fowles influenced you, I recently read "The Collector", and, as I arrived to the chilling end, I thought a sequel written by you would be amazing. Have you ever considered something like that?
