Book #4 is confusing when one is reading the books in order. Is that intentional?

Elizabeth George Book Number 4 is a prequel to the other books. One can read it first or read it in the order in which the books were published. Essentially it shows "how we got to where we are today." I might do another prequel later on.

Just looked at the photos of the new actors who will portray Lynley and Havers. They look too young! And Lynley still has dark hair. But I realize you had no control over that. How do you feel about the new series? I'm more anxious for the books. Those are "real" Elizabeth George, who can't be surpassed.
