I am an aspiring writer myself. Always think that whatever you have to tell, it is worth putting on paper. Write, and then write some more. Forget about editing or revising your writings.
Once you have a large folder with documents and notes, then you can sort it all out, see what matches where. And you'll discover that there are similar topics. There you have more material to use.
This method doesn't work for everybody, but my advise is to keep on writing.
