ATrueBookworm asked this question about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1):
I'm not a big fan of wizards, and the plot of this book seems a little...dull? Cheesy? But this book is so well known, and everyone recommends it to me. Even with my lack of interest in everything this book seems to be about, is there a chance I'd still like it?
Erin These books are so freaking amazing and you should definitely read them. All of these books are fantastic but my favorites are the last four. Trust me you will love these books and they're not dull or cheesy. The first three may seem a little slow because theres not as much action and they were meant for younger audience. You have to remember that these books were made so that kids could grow up with them. They get darker and more mature as the series goes on and by the last few books they're not childish at all. so give this series a try because its amazing and you'll love it.
