The readers. My readers wanted more about Armand and Monique, not the surface relationship friction that fit within the story about the Waters saga. To give them more about Armand and Monique, both separately and together, I had to write a prequel showing how they grew up and why they are spiritually interwoven and inseparable. Daughter of the Game Prequel is the brainchild of the readers, who demanded that the love story get a fair chance. And it is my thanks to the readers who stayed devoted to the series, despite the long wait in between books.
