“The thing about smart mother fuckers is that sometimes, they sound like crazy mother fuckers to stupid mother fuckers...”
Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead, Vol. 9: Here We Remain

Esther Hicks
“If you knew your potential to feel good, you would ask no one to be different so that you can feel good. You would free yourself of all of that cumbersome impossibility of needing to control the world, or control your mate, or control your child. You are the only one who creates your reality. For no one else can think for you, no one else can do it. It is only you, every bit of it you.”
Esther Hicks

“- But Abraham, you mean I'm supposed to make stuff up !?!?
- You are creators, you make stuff up all the time!”
Esther and Jerry Hicks

Christopher Hitchens
“I think I have a very good idea why it is that anti-Semitism is so tenacious and so protean and so enduring. Christianity and Islam, theistic though they may claim to be, are both based on the fetishizing of human primates: Jesus in one case and Mohammed in the other. Neither of these figures can be called exactly historical but both have one thing in common even in their quasi-mythical dimension. Both of them were first encountered by the Jews. And the Jews, ravenous as they were for any sign of the long-sought Messiah, were not taken in by either of these two pretenders, or not in large numbers or not for long.

If you meet a devout Christian or a believing Muslim, you are meeting someone who would give everything he owned for a personal, face-to-face meeting with the blessed founder or prophet. But in the visage of the Jew, such ardent believers encounter the very figure who did have such a precious moment, and who spurned the opportunity and turned shrugging aside. Do you imagine for a microsecond that such a vile, churlish transgression will ever be forgiven? I myself certainly hope that it will not. The Jews have seen through Jesus and Mohammed. In retrospect, many of them have also seen through the mythical, primitive, and cruel figures of Abraham and Moses. Nearer to our own time, in the bitter combats over the work of Marx and Freud and Einstein, Jewish participants and protagonists have not been the least noticeable. May this always be the case, whenever any human primate sets up, or is set up by others, as a Messiah.”

“Women are the only people I am afraid of who I never thought would hurt me”

“Take the first A out of Abraham and put it at the end. You get Brahama. There鈥檚 the ancient connection right there.”

“In one sense, the Qur鈥檃n regards the Torah and the Gospel as older siblings鈥 and looks on with dismay at the family feud tearing apart Abrahamic cohesion. In another sense, the Qur鈥檃n exists as an orphan. It presents the first Abrahamic scripture in Arabic, delivered by an Arabian prophet. Claiming a lineage back to the Torah yet revealed in a thoroughly pagan society, the Qur鈥檃n enjoys an insider-outsider status鈥攐ne that empowers it to look lovingly yet critically at its ancestry. This complex inheritance means the Qur鈥檃n is aware of its roots yet free to develop its own identity without being confined by parental oversight.”
Mohamad Jebara, The Life of the Qur'an: From Eternal Roots to Enduring Legacy

Jonathan Edwards
“For when God is said by these things to try men and prove them, to see what is in their hearts and whether they will keep His commandments or no, we are not to understand, that it is for His own information, or that He may obtain evidence Himself of their sincerity (for he needs no trials for His information); but chiefly for their conviction, and to exhibit evidence to their consciences...
So when God tempted or tried Abraham with that difficult command of offering up his son, it was not for His satisfaction, whether he feared God or no, but for Abraham's own greater satisfaction and comfort, and the more clear manifestation of the favour of God to him.”
Jonathan Edwards, The Religious Affections

“The menopause of Sarah became her menostart; this is feminine beauty! The death plot against Mordecai became his life spring; this is masculine beauty! A kind of life lived in God's word is a life of miraculous beauty!”
Israelmore Ayivor

“In the Qur鈥檃n鈥檚 telling, Abraham after much reflection declares himself a Hanifam-Muslima (3:67). Typically translated as 鈥渁 pure Muslim,鈥 both words were archaic Arabic terms at the time of the Qur鈥檃n鈥檚 revelation and together constituted a dynamic new identity for young Abraham. The root Hanif (cited twelve times in the Qur鈥檃n) originally described a tree precariously balanced atop eroding soil in a volatile climate, forced to constantly adjust its roots and branches鈥攁nd was also used to describe traversing a perilous lava formation. The term connoted the need to constantly rebalance in order to stay safe in unstable situations: remaining true to core roots while having the courage to confront reality. In essence, a Hanif is a healthy skeptic who honestly evaluates inherited traditions.
In Abraham鈥檚 formula, the Hanif interrogates reality not as a cynic but as a healer, diagnosing injuries in order to repair them. Indeed, Muslim derived from the ancient Semitic root S-L-M, literally 鈥渢o repair cracks in city walls.鈥 As the integrity of monotheism erodes over time, repairers need to assess the damage and then get to work restoring the fractures.”
Mohamad Jebara, The Life of the Qur'an: From Eternal Roots to Enduring Legacy

Paddick Van Zyl
“The testing of Abraham鈥檚 faith was not for God to see if Abraham would obey since God knows everything from A to Z. It was for Abraham to find out if his faith in God will stand the test. How far was he willing to obey God? How strong was his faith in God really? God knows us. He knows what is in our hearts, we cannot fool Him”
Paddick Van Zyl

“Never you look down on your Abraham because of your Sarah because the blessing is not in the womb of Sarah but in the loins of Abraham.”
Ikechukwu Izuakor, Great Reflections on Success

“Would anyone on earth seriously like to defend Abraham 鈥 the would-be child killer, the father who unquestioningly agreed to murder his own son because a voice told him to? How can any person on earth regard this person with anything other than the most extreme revulsion? He is not a 鈥済ood鈥 man. He is the worst man conceivable.”
Ranty McRanterson, Kill God!: The Hunt for the Cosmic War Criminal

“It is not the fault of Ishmael that he was born by a bond woman but it will surely be his fault if he die in the hands of a bond woman.”
Ikechukwu Izuakor, Great Reflections on Success

“Robopaths are afflicting our world in two ways: 1) autistic worshipers of scientism have ruined the academic world and turned it into a dull factory mass-producing narrow-minded, ultra-specialized drones and drudges that can barely communicate, and never understand the big picture, and 2) conservative, tradition-directed right wingers that robotically carry out the commands of the elites, like Abraham carrying out the order of the ultimate psychopathic elitist, Jehovah. In the West, it鈥檚 always right wing cops, soldiers and 鈥減atriots鈥 that gun people down and mindlessly and slavishly obey orders. They are 鈥淢ilgram鈥 humans, totally obedient to right wing authority figures. 鈥淕od鈥 鈥 the cosmic authoritarian Father Archetype 鈥 is the supreme right wing wet dream.”
Thomas Stark, Extra Scientiam Nulla Salus: How Science Undermines Reason

Adam Weishaupt
“Why is that we, the Illuminati, are the only people on earth willing to expose the criminality that lies at the heart of Abrahamism? Why is this subject glossed over? What鈥檚 the point of having laws against murder and human sacrifice if religions sanction these things?”
Adam Weishaupt, Abraham: The World's First Psychopath

Adam Weishaupt
“We have absolutely no time for the monsters who try to defend Yahweh鈥檚 order to Abraham to kill his son, or Abraham鈥檚 agreement to do so. He was free to choose what was right or to 鈥渙bey orders鈥 like a Nazi. Like the Nazis, he was afraid (rightly) that his 鈥淕od鈥 would kill him if he refused. But the Nuremberg Trials showed contempt for the only-obeying-orders position, and we hold it in contempt too.”
Adam Weishaupt, Abraham: The World's First Psychopath

“I wait upon the shade of the promises of our God even in the heat of the situation.Like, in the shades of Terebinth, even at Mamre Abraham pitched his tent. So pitch your hopes in the cool shade of Terebinth, even amidst the dusty turmoil of Mamre. Surround yourself with the cool whiff of the Lord's Word, His Promises which is everlasting to everlasting. Yes, Wait upon the Lord.”

“Abraham didn't have to know the answer-he knew the antidote. He knew God could fix it.”

“The two most important covenants in Tanakh involve God's pacts with Abraham and Moses. The former assigns Abraham's offspring a permanent homeland; the latter stipulates that the People of Israel belong to the Lord who led them from bondage and commanded their obedience. God will bless them if they comply and punish them if they refuse.”
Charles L Cohen, The Abrahamic Religions: A Very Short Introduction: A Very Short Introduction

“The Quran identifies Abraham as a hanif, an "upright" individual who rejected idolatry and submitted fully to Allah. It repudiates Arab polytheism while contending that this "[true] religion" (hanifiyya, Qur. 3:19) preceded Judaism and Christianity and owes them essentially nothing.”
Charles L Cohen, The Abrahamic Religions: A Very Short Introduction: A Very Short Introduction

“But I was stuck for a long time by myself at Abraham Lincoln's portrait, standing in the middle of the huge hall as people moved all around me with mostly children. I felt as if time had stopped as I watched Lincoln, facing him, while watching the woman鈥檚 back as she was looking out the window. I felt wronged, so much like Truman from the movie, standing there in the middle of the museum alone. I was wondering what would Abraham Lincoln do if he realized he was the slave in his own cotton fields, being robbed by evil thieves, nazis.
I had taken numerous photos of Martina from behind, as well as silhouettes of her shadow. I remember standing there, watching as she stood in front of the window; it was almost as if she was admiring the view of the mountains from our new home, as I did take such pictures of her, with a very similar composition to that of the female depicted in the iconic Lincoln portrait looking outwards from the window. I hadn't realized how many photographs I snapped of Martina with her back turned towards me while we travelled to picturesque places. Fernanda and I walked side-by-side in utter silence, admiring painting after painting of Dali's, without exchanging a single word. Meanwhile, Luis and Martina had got lost somewhere in the museum. When I finally found her, she was taking pictures outside of the Rainy Cadillac. We both felt something was amiss without having to say it, as Fernanda knew things I didn't and vice versa. We couldn't bring ourselves to discuss it though, not because we lacked any legal authority between me and Martina, but because neither Fernanda or myself had much parental authority over the young lady. It felt like when our marriages and divorces had dissolved, it was almost as if our parenting didn't matter anymore. It was as if I were unwittingly part of a secret screenplay, like Jim Carrey's character in The Truman Show, living in a fabricated reality made solely for him. I was beginning to feel a strange nauseous feeling, as if someone was trying to force something surreal down my throat, as if I were living something not of this world, making me want to vomit onto the painted canvas of the personalised image crafted just for me. I couldn't help but wonder if Fernanda felt the same way, if she was aware of the magnitude of what was happening, or if, just like me, she was completely oblivious, occasionally getting flashes of truth or reality for a moment or two. I took some amazing photographs of her in Port Lligat in Dali's yard in the port, and in Cap Creus, but I'd rather not even try to describe them鈥攖hey were almost like Dali's paintings which make all sense now. As if all the pieces are coming together. She was walking by the water and I was walking a bit further up on the same beach on pebbles, parallel to each other as we walked away from Dali's house in the port. I looked towards her and there were two boats flipped over on the two sides of my view.

I told her: 鈥淩un, Bunny! Run!”
