Nettleton describes the beautiful African countryside, which ensured that I engaged with the characters and the story. I love how B. G. Nettleton's description of living in Africa and Australia and how she added some of the significant events of the time into the plot of this book. B. G. Fiona McArthur did a fantastic job intertwining the three main stories throughout this book and then combining them all at the end. I generally do not enjoy reading books with a Multiply POV, but I enjoy reading Back to Birdsville. I also learnt about The Big Red Sand Dune and the dangers of driving over the dunes.
