I was not into the Trolls story line, it just didn't work for me. I really had to force myself to finish the 3rd book, I was curious how the story would end but not excited to read it. I would not recommend it for adults, more for the 12-16 crowd. ...more

A disease that turns people into zombies and those not effected running for their lives. I liked the idea of a "disease" taking over people and sort of wiping out the population but I think the Author could have done so much more with it. I did not like that she dropped us in the middle of the story right from the beginning. I would have like to seen how this epidemic would have started. I think it would have made the story better and made me appreciate the main characters more.
I would not recommend it for young teens as it does have language and other inappropriate scenes.
I often found the story unbelievable, a tiger as a pet, and just plan boring.

First of all it is similar to Twilight and the Hunger Games. 2 guys and 1 girl. Apparently there is no any other way to tell a story. You must have 2 guys who are fighting over 1 girl. It is definitely aimed for a younger age group. Of course the plot IS different than the other books but the story was slow and I didn’t realize that it is a series, like the other books mentioned. I kept waiting for the ending to come and with about 20 pages left realized there will probably be a book 2 and so on. I hate waiting for the stories to end. Sometimes I just want to pick up a book and read it to the end and be done and not have to wait 10 years for the end to happen. I would recommend it to my daughter, age 12, but not to any of my friends. ...more

A lot tamer and easier to follow than some of the other books by Dan Brown. It provided a nice escape from reality without being to hard to follow. It was almost as if she just said, 'Oh and they got together the end." I thought it was poorly written, almost felt rushed, like Suzanne Collins was writing for a deadline rather than writing cause she wanted to. With her books as popular as they are she should have made the publishers wait for her. ...more

You don't have to have read that book to understand this one. Sometimes it felt like a text book with all that you had to read just to understand the story however I like learning new things so it wasn't bad. The story was fast paced and kept me really intrigued and always wanting to know what was going to happen next. The book is like an onion with many layers. Just when you understand one sign or symbol it leads to another. It was just a fun and educational read. ...more

I believe the book is for teens but I would say around 16 or older due to some of the material in the book, but I do think every high school kid should read it just so they can understand that all kids feel the same way and the way you treat someone, good or bad, has a lasting effect on them. ...more

I liked how she took a step back and allowed us to get to know Ren better and watch Kelsey's and his relationship really grow. At the same time, I liked how the story turned and I found myself cheering for others to succeed as the book progressed. The book is a mixture of adventure, love story, comedy, and magic all rolled into one. Colleen has made learning about India and mythology fun as it relates to her story. I can hardly wait until book 3 so I can see what becomes of the characters that I've come to know and love.
