Their story can be read as a standalone but for more of Derek’s past, he comes out in Best Kept Secret and in his son’s college story in Sideline Infraction. It was definitely a great ride and kept me intrigued with everything going on. Cleo arrives to Seattle to try to find her twin brother that apparently has gone off grid. But she has a feeling that something isn’t right so she is on a mission to find him. She meets her new boss Cyrus and slowly learns things aren’t as they seem. The growth of the relationship between Cyrus and Cleo is amazing and is something that keeps you hooked. I found the mixture of Roman, Greek and Egyptian mythology intriguing and amazingly written. There is so much to be said about this journey but I would hate to accidentally leave a spoiler, but it is most definitely a must read. Rachel does not disappoint in giving us a world you don’t want to leave and become attached to these characters. I can’t wait for the next book....more

This book is about Brock and Everleigh. Brock made a choice that tore him and Everleigh apart all those years ago after that traumatic night. Now Everleigh is back in their small town to care for her mother and they both still hold anger towards the other. Their journey feels like an insta-love but what they thought was hate was always love that never went away. As they work through the hurt they both feel, they also revive the love they had for each other. It’s definitely an emotional ride with steamy moments but I loved every minute of it. They are both obsessed with each other but Hunter just takes it to a new level. The way he’s soft with only Bailey, will have you getting a warm feeling in your chest. But the plot twists will have you almost falling out of your seat and teary eyed with what happens next. But things happen as they should and once you reach their HEA it feels like all the characters in the series get their final HEA along with Bailey and was such a great read that I couldn’t help but devour even though I wanted to take my time since it was the last book of the series. Lulu and Rafe enter a fake relationship that benefits them both, but when rules start being broken and lines get blurred things don’t seem so fake anymore. The banter is top notch and had me laughing out loud so much. The chemistry between them is not instant unless you count Lulu punching Rafe in the throat the first time meeting him as the beginning of their chemistry. As things begin to feel more real than they are ready for, they also are nearing an expiration date because Lulu is moving to Paris. When they think it’s really the end for them, they make it to their HEA. Their road was a little bumpy but it was such a great time with plenty of laughs, banter and the Chadwick group chat was beyond hilarious. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. ...more

Graham sees/meets Francesca at a party while in college. But it’s not until 10 years later when Francesca moves to Avalon Falls to open the bookstore her aunt left her when she passed away. Graham is obsessed with her and Francesca is equally intrigued and attracted to him. They enter a marriage that will be beneficial to them both after Graham finds out about the contract Francesca’s parents have her in. The build up of their relationship begins a little slow but it’s so worth it. I loved how obsessively he cares for her and wants to do everything in his power to help her get her freedom. Their road towards their HEA is not an easy one but they make it there. I could not get enough of them and loved loved their story so much. I can’t wait for the next book of the series and clearly I’m fully invested in the characters of the series. ...more

Tru and Van fall in love during a summer in the Hampton’s but his dad and foster mother cause them to separate. He believes she lied to him thinking what his dad said was true about something she supposedly knew so instead he breaks not just her heart but his as well. Now years later their roommates and she’s his tutor. The chemistry between them will have you fanning yourself and the banter had me cracking up. This was a great ride, emotional but a great ride.
