I will be very surprised if this book is not in my top 10 favorites of the year.
In my personal opinion, Jagger Cole is the best mafia author. This whole world he has created with all these characters, I love it so much. No one else compares.
One of the best thing about a Jagger Cole book is all the secondary characters. I really want all of them to have books of their own. Luckily most of them do. Plus the way he teases some of these characters getting their own books is so clever.
I really loved Lyra and Carmine together. For Carmine being without emotions he sure fell hard for Lyra. Lyra was strong as heck no matter what was thrown her way she came out even stronger. Nothing was gonna stop her. Carmine became an absolute beast when Lyra was put in danger he did burn the world down for her and I was loving every second of it.
I loved every time we got some Black Court moments. I was so intrigued, I wanted to know more especially who the other animals were. I really hope we'll see more of that soon. And don't even get me started on Knightsblood. I need more stories from there.
I really loved this. I'm gonna make it a goal of mine this year, to read more Jagger Cole books....more

This book was so effing good. This year hasn't exactly been super great when it's come to reading, so this was a really great book to help round out the year and finish strong.
This is one of the best representation of a culture in a book I've ever read. I don't know if Jagger Cole is Japanese himself or if he just did a sh!t ton of research, either way it showed. Everything from names to places and most importantly the Japanese culture. It added so much to the book, I was really impressed.
Damian and Hana were a great couple. Damian was textbook boy falls first and I freaking love that trope. He was obsessed with Hana. Hana herself was great too, she was so strong. The way she ran her family business and was at equal footing with her brothers. I loved that.
Damian went through hell all in the name of love and I was here for it. I liked the way Jagger Cole set up the next book in the series, Takeshi's book. I liked him and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.
The only bad thing about this book is that as a Stiles lover, I was slightly traumatised by the word kitsune lol....more

I've really missed Sophie Lark's writing. It's clever. It's fun. It's very fast paced. One thing you will never be in Sophie Lark's books is boring.
I liked both Callum and Aida and I enjoyed them together. I especially loved Aida, she was strong and so much fun. The two best qualities.

I didn't like Lan in previous books but he did really win me over in this. I ended up really loving the book. I loved Mia so much, she and Lan were really great together. Mia didn't put up with any of the s!!! Lan tried to throw her way. She was really strong despite everything she's been through.
Lan is such an arrogant a-hole which I sometime find annoying and off-putting but with Lan it really made me laugh and it was weirdly charming.
I've missed Rina Kent's writing. It's so clever. I loved the way she teased the next book. Excited to start it tonight....more

In this book we actually get two stories. There's an out of this world, insta love not lust, actual love story. And then there's also a second chance romance.
I feel like books are getting longer and longer these days. And while I love slow burn sometimes I'm just in the mood for something fast paced with lots of drama. And Chelle Rose is perfect for that.
This book started out incredibly sweet and romantic but then it took a turn and got very dark. I do love my darkness. I loved seeing Kat and Damian work through the dark they'd been through. It wasn't easy but they got there in the end.
I greatly enjoyed this book. I loved the teaser for the next one, can't wait for that....more

I have been in such a reading slump this whole month, not really loving anything. Then I started this book and bam slump broken to pieces.
This is mafia romance at it's very best. I felt so bad for Giada. She has been treated like dirt her entire life and I loved seeing her finally be treated the way she truly deserves.
Dom and Giada are the definition of soulmates. Dom teaches Giada she's worthy of love and she teaches him he is capable of love.
I did think the book moved a little too fast there in the middel but man did it come back and finish strong.
This book kinda ends on a cliffhanger and I will definitely be reading the next book....more

This is one of those rare books where I love both heroine and hero so much. Gavan was such a dirty talker and once he fell in love he really shined bright.
I really loved the side characters especially on Gavan's side. Both Korol and Drazen were amazing, I hope they get books of their own.
The whole world Jagger created with the bratva was really awesome. I don't doubt it is probably very close to the real thing.
This was my first Jagger Cole book but it will not be my last....more
