I loved the dynamic they had, the attraction they both fought. Their love for Milo and the realization that neither of them were to blame for Erika being dead.
I also liked how easily Rhys transitioned into the group and into Tabby’s circle.
The smut was smutting and I was blushing.
All in all, 4/5 stars the ending took a turn where I was like almost just ready for it to be over so it hurt me. ...more

I loved her relationship with the boys, I love that they all stepped in to help. Josh ended up stealing my heart so many times but especially at the baseball game where she confronted Christy and again when the divorced dad was hitting on her, CLASsic!
Dallas. Dalllllllas.
The entire book could have been highlighted. Every single sentence. Maybe I’m over exaggerating but the love this man slowly and patiently had and then the second his divorce was final he slid into home plate.
He wanted to give their relationship a clean easy start not marred by his ugly divorce and he left her notes in the pocket and he called her an idiot for saving Mildred and suspended Christy and I just love him ...more

I really enjoyed this book enough for four stars.
However, the world building took me a hot minute to truly understand who was who where was what. I don’t know if maybe I was reading while my kids ran around and missed that they were in basically two different worlds but I did.
Once you get into the understanding of who each character is and where they live I couldn’t put it down. I was dying to understand who Maeve was and how she fit into everything.
I knew her uncles and step Grammy were going to be no good. Then the uncle being a pervert and touching dead bodies really slid it home.
You know I love when there is symbolism in books and her getting the BLACK DRESS AND scorpion necklace, EPIC. When she sang to Branimir I loved it, because he just wanted peace and quiet. She immediately wanted to free him and I hope we see more of them in the next book.
I’m curious to see what happens with her sister, because it looks like she was kidnapped by the crone witch but I’m wondering if she turned into something that needed to be locked up, but the crone witch didn’t tell Maeve so that’s suspicious.
All in all I’m excited to see where the story goes and how everything plays out. I have my theories that Maeve and Zevander are borderline reincarnations but we shall see. ...more
Eeeek. I’ve been a lover of her dark romance series for a while and love everything she writes, but this one didn’t hit it out of the park for me.

The plot was really interesting and I loved the different ways the story kept going with the ages and what not. But at a certain point I found myself more invested in what was really going on with Eli and Becca than I was in Chase and Alina.
Their story felt very repetitive and then it felt very sexual with no substance. I enjoyed her writing but I wanted more of a change for them. ...more

Must admit t**spoiler alert** Truly enjoyed this enemies to lovers! Although it wasn’t a true enemies to lovers, more like UNKNOWN friends to lovers!
Must admit that I was expecting the reveal sooner but was pleasantly happy with how it all came out.
Wasn’t expecting the fade to black moments and sometimes I admit it’s a nice change of pace.
But I needed a little more romance. A slow burn is always nice but it took almost 200 pages for a kiss and that’s a little wild for me.
My first book from Ali and I can say it won’t be the last. ...more
