So I'm finally caught up with this series and totally bulldozed through it in one sitting after meeting the infamous Jimmy Ferris and boy oh boy, can I just say how much of an asshole he is?! It doesn't help that he was such a lovable asshole which left me so conflicted about this read. One minute when Jimmy isn't being a gigantic dickface, I wanted to cuddle with him. And later there are times that Jimmy could run for the asshole of century and made me want to punch his nuts repeatedly and castrate him.
GAH JIMMY WHAT YOU'D DO TO ME?!
Lena totally stole the show for me in this book. I have to hand it to her for being so sassy and putting up with a first class dickhead. Personally I would have walked out if I'd put up with half of the things Jimmy did.
"I think I'm going to start charging you extra for lies. Someone needs to pay for the stain on my soul."
I enjoyed watching their relationship progressed from strictly professional to something more, it was even more amusing that it was a case of unrequited love. Lena's character definitely pegged her as one of the best heroine so far in this series and I love how Kylie Scott managed to turn this read into something so different than the previous two. It was far more angsty that I even may have shed some tears of frustration during this read.
My only complaint is I wished that there was more grovelling done on Jimmy's part towards the end because honestly, my heart break for Lena one too many times with Jimmy asshole-ish ways. Also it would've been nice if we had Jimmy's POV thrown in because I'd really like to know the man behind that asshole exterior.

"It was a dark and stormy night...And I was leaving you. Forever."
Even after putting out 7 full-length novels, Tiffany Reisz still leaves me in this stupor of awe after putting down her read. Every. Single. Time. Not to mention, my mind is now going wild with imagery of all my favorite men in kilts. I repeat, Kinglsey AND Søren in kilts. In the words of Eleanor, THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
Okay those lovely imagery aside, The Virgin is no doubt yet another brilliant addition to The White Year series. You'd think by now after 7 books of these same characters, you are ready for what's to come but in true TR fashion, always expect the unexpected.
With each read, you'll always learn something new about your favorite sinners and there's just so much depth she brings to these multilayered characters. How is it possible that I've feel like I known these characters forever but yet be left surprised after each new read? It's amazing how well TR captures the complexity of human nature and nails the character dynamics perfectly each time that nothing will ever come close to her portrayal of taboo relationships.
I don't want to spoil much about The Virgin but here's what you can expect going into this read. 1) There will be a wedding in the present day. 2) The backstory of the year that Nora/Eleanor ran away from Søren. 3) The backstory of the year that Kingsley met Juliette. 4) Again, them men in kilts!!
The book starts off very similarly to the previous ones, being in the present day and this time we have our lovely threesome gathering around and reminiscing the time where both King and Nora left Søren. That's right, it was that dark year we've all been wondering about too since the early series and let me say, learning about this pivotal moment didn't disappoint me at all. The beauty of TR's work is that every scene has its purpose, it keeps giving an additional layer to the characters and just continues to enhance this already amazeballs series.
"There are five possible scenarios that would force you to run. I want you to be ready."
After the lack of Nora in The King, it was nice to have her back and reading about her time at her mum's convent where she ran away to, I thought it was refreshing that we got to see another side of Nora, the one without Søren. With the arrival of a young novice nun named Kyrie who seemed to have an affection for Nora, it does add the F/F flavour to this series which previously haven't been explored in depth. There were some amazing witty dialogues thrown in there between them but most of all, I truly felt the genuine love and care they had for each other.
But if it's anyone who stole my heart in this read, hands down it will be Kingsley. I honestly didn't think I could learn more about this Frenchman since the last book but color me wrong. After reading about his pursuit of Juliette and his time in Haiti, my heart truly ached and swelled for this beautiful man. Their love story was achingly beautiful to read and after this one, I’m glad King found someone who is worthy of his love.
In my eyes, Tiffany Reisz is a world-class storyteller and with every read she puts out, I can only expect greatness and never once has she failed on me yet. With her books, I find myself lost and immersed in this sinful world she has built and not to mention, her alluring and sexy as hell writing is one that had me devouring each word up. Her books can be a million pages long and it will still never be enough for me. My only mini issue on this one is that I wished we got more on Soren and his perspective of the night that Nora ran away from him. Or just generally more Soren, I'll take him any way I can get.
As I type this out, I can't believe we're only one book away from the end of this entire series. I can already anticipate the motha of breakdowns I will go through when I finally read The Queen. There better be a support group I can sign up on post-Sinners series because y'all can expect a terrible case of withdrawal that involves me going through a denial and grief stage by then. I'll never be ready for the end.
The Virgin is the third in The White Year series and should be read in order. It is also recommended to only read this series after finishing The Original Sinners series.

"Good girls don't fall for rock stars. It just isn't done."
As much as I was happy to reunite with my Stage Dive boys, I still 4 STARS! ★★★★

"Good girls don't fall for rock stars. It just isn't done."
As much as I was happy to reunite with my Stage Dive boys, I still went in with a heavy heart as this book would mark the end of this amazing series :( Every book in the series had been an all-round entertaining read with humorous characters that I've grown attached to and with Deep, we have finally made it to Ben Nicholson, the remaining member of the band aka bearded bassist who still needed his own HEA.
With Kylie Scott, you can usually expect your read to start off a little differently and right off the first page, you'll be hit headfirst with a pregnancy revelation from our heroine this time around, Lizzy Rollins. If the name doesn't ring a bell just yet, she's the little sister of Anne who's now with Mal. Throw in the fact that the surprise bomb is dropped at the entire band's dinner, there was going to be one helluva explanation.
"So I’d been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal."
And so the story goes back to how Liz and Ben first met. Although it was mostly Liz's infatuation with Ben that sparked up their friendship, I still really enjoyed how it all progressed. Despite Mal & Anne warning attempts of them ever hooking up, they bonded over their casual secret texting and calling.
However reality came crashing down on Liz when she eventually realized that her infatuation wasn't reciprocated by Ben as much as she hoped for. With a broken heart, Liz tried to move on but bumping into Ben again at Mal & Anne's wedding reignited the undeniable attraction stirring between them and that's how the inevitable happened.
I think what sets this read apart in the series was that Liz & Ben's journey focused a lot on them moving forward with the pregnancy news, whatmore with their undefined relationship at that point of time. They weren't a couple but they were about to be parents, so there was a lot of struggling between these two. It does make up for some good angst as Ben proves to be pretty frustrating at times and I wanted to smash his head in for some of his actions. But once Ben started coming around and fixing up his act, I was more than happy to watch this couple get their HEA very soon.
What I probably loved most about this one is Liz's character and I can easily say that Kylie Scott surely writes some of best heroines I've read. Her heroines are easily relatable, they're spunky and also mostly ballsy which are my absolute favorites. There was a certain tenacity in Liz that had me rooting for her throughout and my heart ached for her with as she struggled between her pregnancy and her feelings for Ben.
“This guy and me, we were doomed from the start.
Coupled up with your ever-loving side characters (especially Mal!) that brought out the laugh-out loud moments, Deep was a well-balanced read that kept me entertained while still managing to induce some heart-squeezing scenes that was brought on by the angst. Although I wished there were more moments of Liz & Ben as an actual couple, I still enjoyed this one!
With the series reaching its end, I'm really hoping we'll get an extended epilogue for each couple because honestly, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to all of my favorite rockstars just yet ;)
Deep is the fourth book in the Stage Dive series and while it can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend for the series to be read in order.

Well holy cow! When I first met Mal in Lick, I knew he would be a totally fun guy to read about but I didn't expect how crazy and freakin hilarious this read was! Once I started, I couldn't put it down and I even had to sacrifice a bit of sleep just to read a little bit more of Mal!
“Make love. I meant make love of course. I would never just stick my dick in you. I would make mad, passionate love to this sweet, sweet body of yours for days, no, weeks. It would be beautiful, pumpkin. There’d be little angels, and birdies, and you know all just hanging around, watching. Perverts.
I just loved how I didn't need to take this book seriously AT ALL. Yes it was ridiculous, yes it was OTT at times but damnit I didn't care. This was exactly what I needed in my life right now and although I thought the ending was a little rushed, I'm rounding this read up to 5 stars because let's face it....Mal was damn f*cking awesome. Everything that came out from his mouth was absolutely GOLD!
“Pumpkin, stop rubbing your ass against me. We gotta go! I don’t have time to do you now. Prioritize, woman.

"The strongest love begins from a place of conflict."
Talk about hard, fast and dirty! Pam Godwin surely delivered one helluva read here that nearly made my Kindle spontaneously combust. It's official that Pam writes some of the best smut out there and being a fan of her dark reads, I'm not sure if I can possibly love this woman enough already.
Oh yes, that elevator scene lived up to its expectations and the brooding mystery of the notorious Evader surely got me hooked onto this read in no time. One of the things I really enjoyed reading about is being immersed in the world of corruption, the dirty secrets behind a family corporation and with each layer of secret being peeled off slowly, there was a twist awaiting there.
"My pursuit was personal; my vendetta fermented in hatred."
While the book delivered on the steam, ironically it was what that also made me struggled with the read. Initially I appreciated those scenes a lot but after a while, it came to a point that almost every scene of Kaci and Logan together were them going crazy on instalust. The angst was present with both of them feeling conflicted but it almost felt like it was not acted upon enough. Also another would be (view spoiler)[the inconsistency of Logan's character that threw me off a little when he easily spilled the beans on everything to Kaci. I felt like what was being portrayed by Logan in the first portion of the book got hit by a flip-switch almost too quickly after he gets enamoured with Kaci. (hide spoiler)]
Overall I still really enjoyed this one and Pam Godwin surely is one of those authors that doesn't fail to deliver something unique and always putting her own twist to it. Also I wouldn't deem this to be her usual dark ones and definitely more on the erotica side laced with dark elements. I would still recommend this read if you're fan of this author's work but it wasn't my most favorite one from her ;)
Dirty Ties is a standalone erotica suspense read with dark elements.

Yet another impulsive read from me when I saw this book with a yummy cover at my bookstore and first thing I did was snapped a photo and messaged my lovely gurl, Rachel to see if she recc'd me this. Being the awesome friend she is who contributes to my wallet bleeding, she told me this book could cure my book hangover/slump and oh boy did I devour this one! It's been far too long since I read a rockstar romance read and jumping back into it, I realised how much I missed the fun smexy times of dating one of these bad boys.
It was a really fun read with hilarious banters all around from the band members like Mal <-- oh yes love him! and David was obviously swoon-worthy. The first half there I was a little apprehensive of how one can be so drunk to the extent of almost suffering amnesia of that night's events LOL. And also insta-love which I wished they would have explored more on instead of taking the love expressway. Took some suspension of disbelief from me but it didn't stop me at all from liking this one.
“With great breasts come great responsibility.
[image] What made it a solid 4-stars read for me is the angst galore towards the second half. I just ate that up when David had so much grovelling to do to get Evelyn back, so that makes me a very happy angst whore :D
Overall super fun smexy read of the rockstar romance genre and can't wait to read more from this series! Especially can't wait to meet Mal ...more

Y'a3 STARS! ★★

"For a minute, I could pretend that I meant everything to her, because she was certainly starting to mean everything to me."
Y'all know I'm a self-proclaimed angst-whore but if there's any book I've read that managed to cause a massive explosion of blood vessels and induce Kindle-throwing outburst, Thoughtless is THE ONE. Everytime I think about that book and the most indecisive heroine that is Keira, the amount of RAGE I feel is enough to cause me stomach ulcers. But alas there's Kellan Kyle that completely redeemed the initial read for me and being one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends, I couldn't pass on the chance to be inside his head this time around.
Let me first reiterate the obvious: This is purely a retelling of Thoughtless. It's literally Thoughtless: Kellan's POV, so if you're going in hoping for fresh material, you might be disappointed. Being in Kellan's head brings you on an emotional journey as you get to live through the angst and heartbreak again and most importantly, the extra bit that wasn't present in the first one which lets us delve into his childhood past that left him those emotional scars.
I really appreciated those parts the most as it gave me the closure I needed to understand what made him so broken on the inside, being drowned in that sea of loneliness and how he came to found solace in Keira. My heart really hurt for him with those scenes and once again brought up those ragey feels in me that had me yelling that Keira didn't deserve him.
However I found it off-putting that Kellan's POV wasn't what I expected at all. For a good portion of the read, his inner monologue came off as clingy & borderline obsessive for Keira, it was like a truckload of repetitiveness of how much he loved her and couldn't let her go. I could feel myself cringing at his choice of words and his train of thoughts that could have easily passed off as a girl's POV. Also, a lot of scenes dragged on more than I like which nearly sent me into a snoozefest and I couldn't find it in myself to be fully immersed in this lengthy read. Perhaps I would have preferred it better if it leaned towards a novella read instead of a full-length novel. But that's just my opinion :)
Overall, Thoughtful wasn't as angsty as I hoped to be especially since I'm already well aware to anticipate the trainwreck that awaited me. Although with the minor issues in this read, I'm still glad that we finally got to read Kellan's side of the story and appreciate getting to understand what shaped him to be that rockstar we all came to love. Honestly had this been any other read, I'd rate it less but Kellan Kyle holds such a dear place in my heart since the very beginning and reading this surely stirred back up those strong emotions in me
I think it's safe to say that fans of Kellan Kyle who have been dying to get any bits of him since the end of the trilogy will rejoice in getting their Kellan fix. But be prepared to have your heart break all over again for him just like in Thoughtless.
