I've also got my dose of pop culture references for the next ten years. Yeah... I did not miss those.
Also, please never write a sex scene like this ever again. Leave those weird ass metaphors at the door please or simply keep the damn door closed overall.
The ending was also very abrupt.
Did this book still make me giddy and chuckling like I'm back in my teenage years? You bet.
Does it deserve four stars truly? Not really. Will I rate it four stars anyways? Yep. ...more

I know it won't bGirlie is like 22 instead of 18 in this one and she's the bloody luna of the pack and yet she still has no agency...... I hate this.
I know it won't be the other guy but oh my god I actually hope the other guy will be her end game. Let him be the mate the moon goddess chose for her. I lowkey hate Logan.
The random witch being overly eager to help Emma simply because her ancestors did something wrong could only happen in a story like this. And it was like a one time thing her ancestors did. They only ruined the life of three people.
I feel so bad for Daisy. Girl run.... you deserve better than lowkey incestuous overprotective brother dad.
Logan dude.... can she ever sit on her own fucking chair instead of your lap?
Why is her brother in the room when they're talking about children and heat? As much as I don't Logan shouldn't it be BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM. Like just them.......???
Just give her the second mark so the book ends and I don't need to continue on with this...
For a luna she truly can't make any decisions herself. Girl why are you such a doormat? Not that the other guy is much better.
I like Daisy and that's why Daisy deserves so much better. Also, Jake is really becoming an annoying creep.
I like how she's treating her 2nd mate. She isn't a doormat with him. I simply wish she would be that person with Logan and her brother.

The whole book is full of reSometimes we need to read absolutely shit stories and this truly was one of them. It's truly that bad. Addicting but bad. The whole book is full of repetitive phrases and words. I would be blackout drunk if I would have taken a shot every time the cardboard cutout male lead called our female lead baby.
It's also full of all the other online shit werewolves stories like this. Why does the girl always have to be barely legal and a meek lil innocent virgin? Why do they always have to be orphans as well? She also doesn't deserve my name. And don't get me started on the brother. He was borderline incestuous in my opinion. He called her love as well, was as red flag protective as his best friend who is the female lead's mate & touched her like his bestie did. The amount of times he touched her intimately was uncountable as well. He pulled her into his lap on multiple occasions, kissed her cheek, kissed the top of her head, overly affectionate hugs, hugging her while she's sleeping etc. Or when the book mentioned on multiple occasions that he needed physical contact with her to feel at ease. That's some mate as fuck type as shit and not sibling coded at all.
Besides, both the brother and the mate went crazy when girlie went missing. Some of these wouldn't be weird if it didn't go together with the fact jealousy and protectiveness or if she wasn't an adult. Please let her be the actual adult she is, even though she is a little stupid and infuriating at times. Initially the brother didn't creep me out but damn please get a mate yourself so you can leave your sister alone. The line I'm going insane without her..... YOU ARE HER BROTHER!
I thought it was funny that at one point everyone was like to mark or not to mark? That is the question. SHOULDN'T IT BE THE GIRL'S CHOICE THOUGH? Like seriously why was her brother, a random alpha that had the hots for as well & her mate involved in this conversation. It should have been between the two of them.
The male lead did act like a freaking jealous toddler 99% of the time. Dude get your shit together. The amount of times he yelled MINE, SHE'S MINE became unbearable. The birds from finding nemo even have more self respect with the way they yell mine mine mine. Even my nephew of two has more self control than this character. And it's a very insta love type of 'love'.
Also, the villain is another cardboard cutout villain without any depth. ...more

I was especially intrigued by this oWhen I was looking for Christmas romance novels with a lil bit of spice, this one was one of the recommendations. I was especially intrigued by this one since it's a gay m/m Christmas romance novella and most of my Christmassy books (or movies) are so freaking straight. So I decided to read this one on a whim. It was fine. Nothing truly special or the great. Giving it three stars felt too generous but giving it two stars feels also a bit wrong. There wasn't anything I absolutely hated or disliked. It simply was fine. I did like how the couple switched. In a lot of queer romance stories the couple almost never switches. So I really appreciated that. Besides, I lowkey got curious about one of her other Christmas novellas. I guess I'll be reading that one next.
I'm also so happy that I'm still reading my Christmas books even though normally by this time of year I would have read/finished a bunch of them already. I guess I've been too addicted to watching all those bad cheesy Christmas romcom movies. Cause I've seen a lot.... like a lot...... 20+ probably.........more

I didn't really like the spice as well and I felt that our female main character was written pretty weirdly. I truly should stop being so morbidly curious about these type of novels. They're almost always so bad but alas I can't help myself. This is truly a very weird novella. Will I read book 1 or 3? Somehow Maybe Olivia Hayle is like a one hit wonder for me, because his book was not it for me at all. I actually had to force myself to finish this. Somehow everything from the characters to the plot to the trauma of our main character felt off. I can't even really explain why but the vibes were simply not it for me. I'll give her Christmas book a shot and then we'll know for sure if she's an author I like or if she just wrote one book I just absolutely adored.
Funnily enough three daughter's name being Emma didn't bother me this time around. Normally it bothers me a little bit if a character is named Emma. There's just something weird about reading or seeing a character with your name. I always have to get used to it and feel awkward for a while. But this time around I didn't really had to get used to that....more

Girlie literallStuff your Kindle day made me add this book to my library for free. And I lowkey wished I didn't. Most severe case of insta love/lust. Girlie literally had lost her baby very recently (stillborn) and was married to some guy. The some guy she married didn't really care for even though they were still trying for a baby (him reluctantly so). Girlie got enough and was like let's do suicide and drown in the ocean. Here comes merman to save the day. Legit, the moment she's saved, girlie jumps the merman, and they have sex. Multiple times. And not once does this woman remember she's married. Even when the merman is like you're going to leave me because you're just like those darn mermaids that give no fucks about anyone but themselves. Girlie is like nooo I'm not like them, I take my oaths very seriously..... YOU TAKE YOUR OATHS VERY SERIOUSLY? GIRL, YOU BANGED A HOT MERMAN RIGHTAWAY AFTER A FAILED SUICIDE ATTEMPT. AND YOU BANGED HIM SO MANY MORE TIMES BEFORE YOU WERE LIKE WHOOPS I'M MARRIED. And still then you didn't give any fucks or cared. The blatant cheating made me really disgusted. And the author wrote it as if it was okay because deadbeat husband was emotionally unavailable....... just no. This wasn't the only bad thing about this book, if I'm being honest, but it was my biggest pet peeve.
Plus, merman suddenly turned human was so random and not explained. A whale basically was like you had the power in you all this time. You know what to do now. NO WE DON'T SIR?????...more

This was honestly notMy morbid curiosity once again won, hahaha, and I ended up reading this book. Sometimes, I really need to stay off the Internet.
This was honestly not as scandalous, wild, bat shit crazy, hot smut that I was expecting. It actually was quite tame. Maybe I've read too many weird sentient smut stories that this one almost seemed normal. It's still a weird book, but I've read shit that's weirder and wilder. Besides, mating with the mallows was honestly too boring. It was over before it really started. The smut ain't that good either. The weird childhood trauma didn't do it for me as well.
