However, due to my busy work schedule, I needed something light. Something short. And then it suddenly hit me. I suddenly remembered a booktuber recommending this amazing feminist aro/ace poetry collection from the perspective of Artemis. I was like, "This is the perfect book to read right now," so I bought a copy for my Kindle, and I immediately started it.
I really loved this, and I couldn't stop highlighting certain poems, lines, or passages.
This review will basically consist of my favourite poems and passages, so here we go. Here are some of my favourite poems, lines, or passages from this collection.

chin up, buttercup I see you struggling I see you surviving anyway your strength is a beauty I’ve not yet seen matched even in the wild

Artemis, age; The skin of her thighs glistens so radiant, it is entirely inevitable that some grow to imagine they have the right to put their hands on the sister of the sun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Athena, age; While other Goddesses tend to their seasons and their elements, their riches and their beauty, she is becoming something that never loses. She is being fitted for bronzed gauntlets and her palms are shaping every weapon she touches into something that will make history with her; books and lightening, spears and men and shields and night. She is creating victory before there is even battle.
in a lot of ways they will push me out of history because I am a fighter not a lover all the recognition and tumult of love fell right off me the tales that seem the happiest always have that journey, too the one I can’t make myself take
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you must remember how strong you are when you feel like an entire ocean is pressing down on your chest when you feel like a whole galaxy of emptiness is swallowing up your voice you must remember that I sincerely believe you have the power to change the world you must remember that I would go to war for you you must remember that flowers shift in soil just to face your light you must remember that every feeling, big or small, your heart puts you through I’ll be there if you need to sob it all away I’ll be there if you forget you’re as beautiful as a sunset I’ll help you remember and I’ll take care of anyone who makes you question your worth for a moment

no one important has ever kissed or touched these lips you should be honored I think I’m saving a kiss for you
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
once you’ve learned of all my strength I suppose it’s hard to imagine there are more layers underneath the armor and blood there is more than just resistance in me fighting is important but so is my heart
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Artemis, age; She is confident enough in her Goddess mantle to accept everything about herself, wholly. The forest is mother, teacher, savior, mirror. It reveals to her what is natural and therefore what is true. It told her, so sweetly, that her lack of desire doesn’t take away from her brilliance. Nature sighed in complete authority, and it told her she was composed expertly. Crafted beautifully. She knows better than to answer Nature with disbelief.

Gods waste so much blood on what? on nothing one war is never enough one sacrifice is never enough and if you believe one villain can bring it all down or one hero can put it all back together then you have not been paying attention
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Artemis, age; The path is clear. What she has to give up is not really a loss anyway. She can live without it. She will thrive without it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
unlove unlove if that’s what it takes to get a breathe in your lungs
unlove if that’s what it takes to love yourself better
unlove if that’s what it takes to swallow the lump of eternity and taste no regret
unlove if that’s what it takes to live your achingly short human life with the ferocity of immortality
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
sip wisdom like it is wine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ll make sure that you know I am mine, and no one else’s I belong to my own heart

“I don’t bring people together because they need to be completed. You are a Goddess, whole, Artemis. Trust me to know this; love happens to some people, but it does not have to happen to you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was never yours to stare at so hungrily
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
nothing grows independently no one makes it through anything difficult alone and yet I try

She experiences a splintering more beautiful than any buildup.

the girl who everyone told would fall in love one day no matter how loudly I screamed it’s not what I wanted it was never what I needed

what is home to a girl who, after millennia is still searching for safety
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
know that down here, I am a queen know that down here, I am still always looking up to you
What does it feel like, having given birth to something so ungrateful?
She is not ungrateful. She is allowed to not want things, to turn them away, to take and take and take and be exact with her desires.
What does it feel like, to know you’ve made something wrong? You built her incorrectly. You gave life to a disobedient girl, a forlorn flower, a monstrous gathering of untamable mist in the shape of a Goddess.
If you’d let all those rules crumble, she’d be perfectly free. You think I’m the one that made her? There is so much more to a child than their mother’s traits and their father’s mistakes.
But doesn’t it hurt you, and speak to your failures as a mother, to see her so alone?
I think whatever hurt or hollowness you feel when you see someone who is peaceful in their solitude is your own loneliness.
