I read 20 books by Australian authors and reviewed 15 books for the Australian Women Writers 2017 challenge. This was not as many as I had hoped to read and will definitely work on increasing this in 2018.
Looking over my top 10 reads I realise that 8 of the 10 were physical paperback that I read, so I think subconsciously I’m connecting more with the story when I’m actually holding a physical book.
I joined lots and lots of challenges across many ŷ groups and found myself loosing track of what challenge in what group I was actually doing. I want to thank the awesome moderators that take the time to develop and post these fun challenges. I think I only finished a couple but my love of challenges will not diminish and I’m sure I will join more in 2018.
Thank you for all the friendships I’ve formed and all the fabulous recommendations I’ve received. Bring on 2018!!! ...more

I joined lots and lots of challenges during the year but didn't actually complete that many but half the fun is joining them, isn't it. A few I did complete were: Around the Year in 52 Books Fiction Fanatics A- Z with a twist (well almost) Aussie Readers December challenge Bound Together 4th Quarter challenge Fiction Fanatics 2016 Treasure Hunt
This year I think I spent more time chatting to the wonderful bookish friends I've made, from far and wide, than actually reading books.
My TBR has gotten more out of control than ever before.
Heres to a great 2017 with more challenges more books and more friends.

I've discovered some wonderful books this year through ŷ but most of all made some truly great bookish friends, people who understand my compulsion to own more books than I can possibly read, and for that I am grateful.
