Mostly, I thought this was a pretty decent ending to one of my favorite series. I enjoyed myself right up till the last 10% of the book or so. And it wasn't that I thought the ending was bad or that it made me unhappy...I just thought that it was weak. Really weak.
There were problems throughout. Lots of them. But I thought that Meyers would, I don't know, fix them or something by the end. Anyway. Jessica's review pretty much sums up the vast number of issues I had.
However, my biggest problem was probably Winter, herself.

Although, it really didn't matter since (even though this was her book) Winter was basically a side character.
Wolf and Scarlet's ending also pissed me off a bit. <--not saying it was unhappy!

Anyway. I thought the story was pretty entertaining for most of the book, but the ending was anticlimactic, there were a lot of dropped threads, and the majority of the plot didn't hold up to any sort of scrutiny. I've read suckier conclusions, but this still isn't getting more than 3 stars out of me.

You made so many great points, Jessica. I didn't hate-hate it as much as you did, but...YEESH! What you said about the scars vs beauty thing going on between Winter & Levana was dead-on. That whole plotline made me cringe.
I have to force myself to listen to the audiobook. Got about 60 chapters to read. Too much, man!
Great review, Anne! I agree with your spoilers, and was thinking the same thing about Winter a lot. She didn't have to use her powers for evil purposes. And, your point about Wolf? lol!! Oh well, this is all we can do for you - nothing. ;-)

I didn't hate it, but there were moments....

Winter refusing to use her power did piss me off, but to be fair glamouring her appearance would still be mind control since the glamour is described as changing the minds of the people around you to see something that isn't there.

Hi Anne great review In the audiobook she has an interview with the Narrator Rebecca Soler where she eludes to a possible wedding in the future? At least that’s what I think she said. Anyhow you gotta listen to the audiobook so much fun Scarlets accent is killer and Winter is incredible sweet and crazy sounding lol
I would LOVE to do a re-read with the audiobook. I might do the entire series. Thank you for that!
