2015 reread - just as amazing as I remembered <3 This will forever remain one of my all-time favourite books!

Oh.My.God. Have I ever loved a book???

This is hands-down one of the best books I've read this year. 5 stars are not enough, I want to rate it 10 stars! Bloody hell! I'm in love...

Mum, Dad, could you please send me to a Boarding School in Paris? What? Me being 25 years old is a problem? Noooo, come on guys, I do look really young. I will pass for an 18-year-old!

Full review will probably follow...

Jessica YAY!!! Amazon dispatched my copy today!!! :)

Alexa Yay! :D

Stefanie I'm starting this as soon as I finish Last Sacrifice...I love that I keep hearing great things about this!

Alexa Must finish other book ASAP!

Jessica Yes, you do. Seriously, this is freakin' awesome!

Danny Ok it seems I need to read this book! It wasn't really on my radar...

Jessica And again I say: Yes, you do.

Janina Hach, it's great, isn't it? Glad that you loved it as well :). I think it was my favourite of 2010.

Jessica Yes, yes, yes. I really loved it! It's hard to choose a favorite but it's definitely ranking high on that list for me, too!

Danny *giggles* Ok I'm convinced!

~Tina~ YAY'S! You loved it!! Hell, we alllll did!

Nic LMAO. Love your review. Please don't change it. By the way if you go to French Boarding School, I am coming to visit!

Morgan F Okay, I have to read this book. I was going to skip it because I'm low on cash, but all you bookers love it and John Green does too. He describes the books as if he and Maureen Johnson had a French baby.

Nomes Nic wrote: "LMAO. Love your review. Please don't change it. By the way if you go to French Boarding School, I am coming to visit!"

i agree - this review is perfect as it is!

Jessica LOL, thanks guys! :-)

Nic, it's a deal! :)

Morg, I think you should give it a try! It really is a great book and I thought it was pretty hilarious, too! I went to the hair dresser today and while I was sitting there, reading, I was getting weird looks from the people around me because I kept cracking up.

The Christmas dinner? The parents are fighting and the oblivious half-deaf grandma keeps shouting "WHERE IS THE SALT? I CAN'T TASTE THE CASSEROLE! PASS THE SALT" LMAO!

Nomes hey Morgan - if you don't mind waiting ( and I mean WAITING) there is a pre-order @ The Book Depository for Aug 2011. It's REALLY cheap. I ordered it for my sister L)

Morgan F Hmmm. I'll have to see how long I can wait out!!

~Tina~ Morg, you will love this book! Read it my friend!

LOL Jess, I loved that dinner, it wouldn't be a holiday without a crazy family dinner:D

message 20: by Jessica (last edited Dec 14, 2010 11:11PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jessica Really.

Is it weird that I want to read this book again, like, right now? I just don't want to let go just yet...Ah, who cares? I just have to read it again!

Nomes I just read it again last night :) I gave it three weeks since I last read it then couldn't resist :)

Janina There were so many scenes in this book that I loved. I think I couldn't pick a favourite ;). But the whole Christmas part with e-mails, phone conversations and crazy dinners was definitely among them.

I re-read parts of it the day after finishing ;). I wrote my review after that, and it's basically just a whole lot of rambling about how great the book is. Not sure if I will post it like that, it got way too long ;).

And, Jess, I wouldn't mind visiting you at French boarding school either ;). Or ... maybe I should enroll, too? I could certainly pass for 17 or 18, I think. And my French is magnifique *coughs*.

oliviasbooks Jessica wrote: "The Christmas dinner? The parents are fighting and the oblivious half-deaf grandma keeps shouting "WHERE IS THE SALT? I CAN'T TASTE THE CASSEROLE! PASS THE SALT" LMAO! ..."

I loved that, too. Especially since it's funny and believable. I've had even crazier Christmas dinners at my home. Everything is so incredibly real and believable. I continuously had flashbacks to my year in a smallish dorm and to awkward dates-or-maybe-not-dates and so on. Perfectly captured behavior.

Jessica Hehe, thanks Nomes. Now I feel less crazy. :)

Janina, I think we should enroll. My French really isn't that good anymore but I would manage to order my food and buy a cinema ticket :)

Exactly, Olivia! Seriously, this could have happened at my place on Christmas!

I've been re-reading it all week! I can't stop going back for quotes. Do you know how long it's been since I couldn't stop going back to a book?? It's getting nuts!
I don't know why, but I started laughing in the middle of the night over the girl guide cookie scene;
Josh is horrified."Whyareyougivingawaythecookies"?
It's so freaken cute and funny!!

@ Kim- Reallllly;)

Jessica Yeah, I know what you mean! I even dreamt about it last night! Can you believe it?

OMG I loved that scene XD I also thought it was hilarious how Anna and Étienne met and how she obsessed over his hair. His beautiful hair! ^^
There are so many great scenes! Oooh, I totally forgot! *heads over to the corner to continue her gushing there*

~Tina~ Hell, I've been dreaming of this book all week as well! I have a very clear picture in my head what they look like so they just keep popping up!

~goes to the corner~

Jessica Yes! Me, too!
Tina, we're officially freaks ;-)

message 29: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim HOW IS THIS HAPPENING?

I skip one book and everybody has multiple orgasms.

*mumbles 'I have a copy on my Kindle'*

~Tina~ You know what they say hun, you never know what guy book will just do it for you;) ~waggles eyebrows~
Hope you enjoy!

oliviasbooks I'd exclude myself from that Kim. ;-) I simply enjoyed that book - a lot -, because it is a love story as it should be.

In my opinion it is better than Amy and Roger, b.t.w (sorry that I make the comparison AGAIN).

~Tina~ I would have to second that. Amy and Roger was a really great book, but I would have to bump that to second. This book made it to the top of most romantic:)

Arlene I have about 50 pages left and I'm in with this book too! I actually had a dream about it last night. I think I'm going to finish it on my break and start it all over again. I'm soooooooo crushing on this book!!

BTW, I likie your review Jess... I wouldn't change a thing. XD

message 34: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim Olivia, my sweet, you are only making it worse by saying it's better than A&R. ^^

Stefanie I'm only about 60 pgs into this...and I'm ready to finish to see what is so amazing about this book. It's already got so much personality which I love.

Anna.Is.A.Riot.

message 36: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim You guys are all just ganging up on me on purpose, right? Right?

*waits 'till somebody comes in with a camera*

Morgan F Don't worry Kim. We can stand together in our Anna ignorance.

message 38: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim *crazy grin*

I like this sudden turn of events.

~Tina~ If it makes you feel better I didn't even want to read this book.
Who knew?

It is better that A & R and that is a hard book to beat. Read it Kim and Morgan!!!!

Arlene Mmmm yeah, I have to say it's a smidge *measures fingers apart to demonstrate an itsy bitsy bit* better than A&R and you know I LOVED A&R.

Kim and Morgan, I hope you read it.
