I.Am.So.In.Love.With.This.Book.
I want to marry it and hug it and tuck it into bed at night!
You know, the funny thing about this is, that I actually didn't care to read this book, at all (insert gasp here).
It's never been a secret that I'm a paranormal junkie and and while I like some YA chick-lit, this one just looked like a book I'd get a my lib. The only reason I picked it up was because it was the book voted and picked at our book club, so I just went along with it and figured, why not?
BIG BIG thanks to the Bookers who picked it, cause seriously, I want to marry this thing, I'm hugging it as I type for Gawd sake!
Going into a book with zero expectations or anticipation is one of my all time favorite things about reading. You look at the cover, you read the blurb, you just nevah think, this book, this book right here, this could be your favorite. Cause seriously, it totally is and I never would have had a clue!
There is a lot of hype over this book, and maybe that's what left me so skeptical , but dame if I'm a true believer now, it deserves all the praise and then some.
Anna and the French Kiss is the kind of book I walked away from with the whole shebang! All big-ass smiles, the feeling of floating on cloud nine with my stomach doing that crazy floppy-flippy thing just thinking about it.
Hands down, one of the most romantic books I've ever read and it's not the obvious kind either, which I'm ashamed to admit that's exactly what I was expecting. No, this is the kind of romance that is weaved in one long moment. The moment they meet...on.
My favorite part about this book was that it was always constantly growing. A growing friendship, a growing attraction, a growing chemistry and eventually a growing love between Anna and Étienne. Not only was it sweet-as-sin, but it was honest and hilarious and smart and sexy and adorable. Hell, even when they fought it was still hawt. The truth always seems to linger and it's filled with so much angst, but the good kind. The best kind. The kind you want to sink into and wrap your arms around, and squeeeze.
It wasn't all instant Iseeyou, Iloveyou, Iwantyou, Ineedyou.. It was slow moving, almost painful at times, and confusing and frustrating and I wanted to kick these two and scream at them to just say the things that need to be said already, but at the same time I wouldn't have it any other way, and that ending? Absolutely heavenly sent perfect.
I loved how they knew little things about each other, how when he chewed his pinkie it meant he was happy and when he chewed his thumb it meant he was worried. How he knows shes a neat freak who irons her bed sheets and loves her in-spite of it. The little things always, always matter the most to me, and I loved that Perkins took the time to included that.
Anna is such a great girl and St. Claire is delicious. They are one of my all time favorite book couples and I wish there story never had to end. I could read them forever.
Even the secondary characters were all well written and very defined, I was constantly entertained, always laughing at the ease of there friendship.
I loved the setting, Paris.is.Gorgeous and I adored the vividness. The history of the city, the culture, the lights, the parks, the art, the cafe, the food. All of it. I found myself so jealous of Anna and vow that one day I'll go there. I'll sit at a little cafe' reading Anna and the French Kiss, eating a chocolate croissant till the morning light hits my table.
It's written in such pitch perfect tone and an effortless way that your instantly lost in Paris on the arms of these characters and you never want to let them go.
So, so brilliant!
I swear I could go on forever gushing about this book, so I'll just spare you all and stop now. All I'm gonna say is that; I absolutely adored this Wonderful, Awesome and Amazing book!!!
Swoon-worthy romance that will melt you! Sexy! And more fun then I had in a really, really long time!
Highly entertaining! Recommend for anyone who wants to smile.
A Lot.

I need to try (and fail) to come up with words to do this book justice.

Did you start it yet?

Okay, I love.love.love your review! One of your best and I'm not being biased because I have a huge crush on the book.
So glad we all decided to read this. Such an awesome bookclub pick. We'll share this sappy moment... oh gawd... I'm getting sappy...
XD

I can't believe I almost skipped this month @.@

Too funny! Im going to read it all over again next week. Can't stop thinking of it either. XD

Morg! I hope you like it, I'm actually curious about what you'll think of it:)

This book is the perfect read after reading a series like that. I hope you enjoy it:D

Anna isn't the only one who's got a big, stinking, painful, all-the-time, all-consuming crush! I'm madly in love with this book

This book is the perfect read after reading a series like that. I hop..."
Omg Tina, I don't think I've read a book in ages that left me feeling high one minute, then low, sad, happy, angry, frustrated, and crying the next. I just cant get over it and yet I find it very hard to put in words how exactly I felt about it.
Sigh! I think I'm scarred for life. lol

Mayomi, you aren't alone my friend. Seriously, THG is a hard story to process. You absolutely feel everything at once. Like a truck hit you but your still alive, only you don't know what to do once the books are said and done. I don't know if I wanna watch the movies. I'm just hoping it gives it the justice it deserves!

I want my sisters to watch them since there not huge book people. They only started liking Twilight and HP after the movie came out...then they took my books ~head desk~
I'm so thrilled with all the 5 star ratings :)
