2 / 5

Dystopian fiction, particularly the young adult kind, is plummeting downhill at 100 mile-an-hour.

Tatiana No kidding. The moment a certain genre becomes popular, the market is flooded with mediocrity written by the bandwagon jumpers.

I know... like the young adult paranormal romance overkill. How many different versions of Twilight are they actually going to publish? ¬_¬

By the way, what about Divergent? It's on my TBR list but I'm wondering if that's just going to be another disappointment.

Tatiana I gave Divergent 3 stars. There is nothing spectacular about it IMO, but it is at least more engaging than Delirium. So it might be worth a library rental.

WYNSLY the two of you have really high standards :)

Emily May Thank you.

Justice Jesus, was Delirium really bad? I actually got excited for it too, just bought the audiobook because it looked like the next best thing to the Hunger Games so honestly, if this aint it, can you at least point me in the right direction to what is?
I miss The Hunger Games so bad

Justice Lol Tatiana, i read your review, it was awesome. Have you tried Legend? I think you may like it if you haven't read it already. Also the Maze Runner which was arguably even better.

Emily May Lots of people liked it, but it wasn't to my taste (or Tatiana's). It depends what you're looking for in dystopian fiction... you might like Divergent if you want something fast-paced with a romantic subplot.

Daniela Ughhhh I didn't like this at all, every page was painful =/

Markie Winters I'm so happy people like you exist.

Jenny I agree. This book is just weird... and a train wreck.

message 12: by Coco (new) - rated it 3 stars

Coco Janis i just read the whol series, mabye the plot is a bit odd but that doesn't make the book terrible or weird it just makes it a little bit different, so you people dissing this book, get your head out of your ass and look at the world, and this book a little less like a pessimist

Spacegeek Totally agree. This book is such a waste of time!

Alentia I loved this book so much!! But it was the first dystopian book series I read though :)

Yeah, that could be part of the problem for me - I read so many dystopian books around the time this novel was released. Glad you enjoyed it, though :)

Radium The first book was okay, actually, in my opinion, but it was the second one that COMPLETELY negated the premise of the first one and made me kind of gag.

The Page Turner 1.Go to Amazon, (or Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ or whatever)
2. Type in YA
3. Buy al the top ten of 'em
4. Read it
5. Hate it
6. Leave a discouraging review at GR and make everyone feel bad.
Seriously, why do you read YA dystopian all the time if you hate it?
:-) No offence, BTW.
