** spoiler alert ** I got this book to read and review from Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy Fanatics! It took me almost a month to finish the book and these are the reasons why:
Airel is the most annoying, self absorbed and brainless teenager you'll ever see-but then teenagers are supposed to be that way.
She kept spouting things like "Men"-they do this and that... It just made me want to ask her how many men had she been with!
How she could not see something was wrong with Micheal's beyond me-that she wasn't herself around him is not sufficient to put my doubts to rest. If she was acting that strangely, surely her *non-existent* parents and friends would have seen that.
The instant attraction between her and Micheal just rubbed me the wrong way-however, to be fair, it is supposed to be an effect caused by Micheal's demonic connections.
Kim is her one best friend who would do anything for her but Airel seems so dismissive of her- yes, I know Kim's annoying.
The whole Keiros part bored me out of my skull- Keiros was Sir Talks-a-lot and only stirred into action after half the story was over.
The story felt like it was being dragged out unnecessarily.
Stan and James- Stan was just thrown at us in the middle of the story and James being a Brother felt like an afterthought.
I don't think I'll be reading the sequel, if there's any!

Jason Have to agree with everything you said here. This book is terrible. The blind swooning over Michael made me want to throw my iPad across the room. There very little I enjoyed about it. I've got about a hundred pages to go. Should I even bother finishing it? I have my doubts. I don't see there being a big payoff at the end, considering this is a series. I won't be reading the remaining books.

Midu Hadi I just re-read my review and have been thinking I was too harsh. I still stand by what I said but maybe I could have phrased it a little better?

Jason No, I think you were spot on. I just gave up on this series. There were a few interesting things in the book, sure. But they were poorly executed. A shallow, weak protagonist pretty much doomed this from the beginning.

Just My Bucking Book Blog You weren't harsh, you're spot on. This book annoyed me so so I didn't even finish it.

Midu Hadi *phew* hehehe

Rikki Ugh! I'm on page 297 and I'm struggling! I think I'm gonna have to give it up, thanks for convincing me!

Midu Hadi oops! :-)

Midu Hadi I'm sorry you don't like it either, Adrianna! :-(

Natalie Glad to know I'll stay away from this one. And the cover? I know some people are drooling, but when it came up on my news feed I thought it was Fallen... it's almost a twin. The fact that the book has angels doesn't help the similarity factor.

Midu Hadi Yeah, the cover's pretty but similar to Fallen.

Brandie I DL'd this onto my kindle because it was free and I'm almost done with it. My first issue was with Airel's supposed "best friend" and Airel's "whatever, that's just how Kimmie is" attitude when Kim got too absorbed in her own world to really be a best friend.

My next issue was the introduction of Kreios. I didn't feel it really fit in, being that it doesn't happen until past half-way through the book. Perhaps it could have been placed at the beginning?

And then there's Michael. I don't care how nice he is or how well he treats Airel, it all felt like a front from the beginning.

Midu Hadi Sorry you were disappointed too, Brandie!
