reading this book feels like an ascension to some higher sphere.
this installment is the key turning point in this series and it has absolutely sent me. the foresight, the cleverness, the complexity, the reach, the drive, the cunningness - all of it amounts to a story that transcends all other stories.
it is, quite simply, a masterpiece.

The manon/witch story took me some time to like. I remember hating that POV in heir of fire. Hopefully,� they would grow on you in the next book 😊

thank you!! i agree, the subplot didnt bother me in this book as much as it did in heir of fire, but i think thats just because it finally mixed with the main plot. i have a feeling about manon and dorian, so im sure it will stay that way for the rest of the series. ;)
