it was ok
bookshelves: 2019-books, i-own, thriller-mystery

Um no. This ain’t it chief.
Also that ending?? NO.

I feel like the high ratings and amazing reviews for this book are mostly people who already love CoHo's books and this is their, 'dip of the toe' moment, for them in the 'thriller' genre lol.

BrandyD Omg I love your “this ain’t it, Chief reference. 😄 My 14 year old son introduced me to that video and it really made me laugh! (I feel absolutely out of touch with “the kids these days even though I’m only a late 70’s Gen-Xer. Probably because I don’t “do social media... 🤔)
Haven’t read this yet but it is on my to-read list... I would be my first CoHo read and it will be on the Audible romance package when it’s released next month. We’ll see. Good to read your review!

message 2: by Irmarie (new)

Irmarie Rodriguez I was going to read it but...nevermind.

Jacquellyn I’ve read all her books. It’s my least favorite. Very creepy and raunchy😖

Robin G Very raunchy

Bridie Never read any of her books before, loved this one.

message 6: by Kay (new) - added it

Kay I don't even read her books and thought it was amazing lol

message 7: by Pam (new) - rated it 3 stars

Pam Too raunchy for me. This book would only be 100 pages long if you eliminated all the blow jobs the TMI details therein. Are all her books like this?

Christopher So true... SO much pointless sex, and the author even acknowledges it but then goes on and on with it. There were so many better, more satisfying ways that could have ended.

Brianna Jade Wilson 100% correct. This is not a thriller. This is slightly creepy "romance".

message 10: by chey (new) - rated it 5 stars

chey this is actually exactly spot on for me

Haley Like what was the point?

Tayna I‘ve never read a CoHo book, this was literally my first and It made me sob multiple times. Absolutely loved it lmao

Humna Khan Now i can relate. I swear i predicted the accident part but did not expect the last chapter. Butt it was not satisfactory for me. 😕 nice. Fine. Not the best thriller i have ever read

Nicole I enjoyed the book but I definitely wouldn’t describe it as a thriller

message 15: by Gabriela (new) - added it

Gabriela I think the bjs scenes were there to empathize the character obsessed with sex that verity created

message 16: by Jenn (new) - rated it 1 star

Jenn Nelson It’s SO BAD.

Brianna Caldwell Couldn’t agree more

message 18: by Jenn (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jenn Whitney Well I haven’t read any other CoHo book; Verity was the first and I really enjoyed it. Next I’m reading “Too Late by her. Not even interested in the romance books. I’m excited for her new deal that’s bringing 2 more thrillers from her. (:

Tatiana This was also my first book from this author. I started reading her books after Verity. I usually hate romance in general, but I actually find whatever she writes interesting.

message 20: by Rhea (new) - rated it 4 stars

Rhea Suggestions for other thrillers ?

Kelsey Schwebs Disagree. I don’t know anything about this author and so far have only read 1 other of her books. And though both books I read from her, 2 different styles so is good

Kaitlyn Jungjohan I could not agree more with this review. I’m not a Colleen fan at all but was talked into reading Verity and told it “is her best book you’ll love it didn’t love it but didn’t hate it. Definitely doesn’t scratch the thriller itch.
