really liked it

The ending was disappointing.

I really liked the premise of this one. My first Agatha Christie book. I don't know what I was expecting but maybe I was expecting it to be damn perfect I guess.

The characters were developed well but it's the last few crucial pages that went flat for me and the explanation wasn't appealing enough.

I felt like the ending got a bit rushed and the few characters seemed bored.

I loved how evil some of the characters deemed to be PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS (but actually ending up as dead bodies.)

Damn.

I say it's the fun while reading this book that made it so interesting.

But from the murder mystery point of view, I did find it boring and rather flat towards the end.

Ramesh you didn’t expect the judge to be the actual culprit right ? considering how unassumingly obvious it felt

charlotte this was exactly how i felt, what a disappointing ending

Reading_ Tamishly No spoilers from my side 😅

Reading_ Tamishly The hype dies with the ending @Charlotte 😭

Izzy 🌊 Exactly my opinion, great read and keeps you hooked but I was hoping for more of an unraveling rather than having it all explained to us in quite simple terms. Leaves you feeling dissatisfied and is if you got robbed from a proper ending.

Reading_ Tamishly Wish it was thrilling until the end @Izzy

Ian M. Pyatt I appreciate the honest review. I've seen one TV adaptation, but when you know the outcome, it doesn't necessarily keep you interested. I'm on a re-read of all AC works and have finished those featuring Tommy & Tuppence (there's only 5) and her stand-alone ones, some of which are really good. I'm halfway through the Ms. Marple books and then onto Poirot.

Reading_ Tamishly I should pick up Ms. Marple books. Guess I will like them more @Ian Am so glad you updated this comment

message 9: by John (new)

John "Ten Little Indians" was an alternate title.

I don't think that I read Agatha Christie's story, although I saw at least one movie made from it. I've also read, watched, heard of so many stories "borrowing" the idea, that I'm tired of it.

Reading_ Tamishly Now that almost all mystery thriller new releases are based on the same concept, we are all tired of it @John 🥲
