Dark Needs at Night's Edge聽was an absolutely fantastic read! I loved everything about this book.聽In fact, it might just be my favorite in the series thus far. I could go on and on about what I loved about this story, but I'm very anxious to start the next book in the series to find out what happens to Cade, the demon.聽
Suffice it to say, this book has everything I love in a paranormal AND in a romance book. It has a creative and compelling world, a fascinating cast of motley characters, an endearing and genuine couple, with one heck of an emotional romance. I not only fell in love with the hero, Conrad, and heroine, N茅omi, personally, but I fell completely in love with their love story. The overwhelming yearning and desire the hero and heroine had for each other in this book was extremely palatable and written beautifully.聽
Conrad sums this book up perfectly when he said,聽"My Bride by fate, my wife by choice..."聽
Dark Needs at Night's Edge is another fantastic book in what is proving to be an outstanding series. 聽

"Question: With the destruction of all female vampires, can there be any more "natural-born-vampires?" For instance, would Sebastian and Kaderin's offspring be considered "natural-born-vampires" if Sebastian is a Forbearer vampire and Kaderin is a Valkyrie? Does my question make sense?"

I am enjoying them. They're fun and the world KC has created is fascinating.

The "lickable horns" as Nix calls them! LOL

HAHA...that crazy Nix! She's a Valkyrie that knows what she likes.

I'm sure I will enjoy Cade's book. Thanks Audrey.

I can't decide which book I liked more Conrad's or Sebastian's, but since they're both vampires, brothers, and beyond yummy, I'll pick both. Lol. Thanks Lady Jayne.

Karla, thank you again for introducing me to this series. I'm having so much fun reading these books. They're just what I needed. I can't wait to start Cade's book. There has to be a reason N茂x is so...err... enamored by the "lickable" horns. Lol.

You know, I actually hope N茂x ends up with Mike Rowe.
Can't you hear N茂x saying, "Mike says it'll be a "dirty job" cleaning up all the mess the Lore made during the Accession but someone has to do it?! Haha.

Thanks Melanie. I can't wait to find out more about these "lickable horns" that N茂x keeps talking about.

Thanks Becs. I agree. They just keep getting better and better.

Well, I hope she does make some mention of Mike and the clean up mess. These book might have given me a slight crush on the guy. Haha.

Haha! I was actually going to say that, that Sebastian's was my other favourite! I love the "innocent", younger Wroth brothers, who struggled with their change. ^_^

And YESSS!! Dude, I so hope Mike Rowe gets another shout-out

I'll be looking for your reviews and/or comments, IF I get them that is, GR is driving me nuts.

I must say, Kristen, not being American, those Mike Rowe references would have gone over my head. Thanks for the visual! ^_^

Yaaay! Enjoy them. I love re-reading because you can skim over the parts you don't care to read again.

You are welcome! Anytime you have a question about something you feel might be an American term, product, show, ect just ask and I'll be more than happy to answer.
For instance, Wendy was reading one of Kristen Ashley's books charter heroine made Snickerdoodles. Wendy assumed Snickerdoodles were a type of donut, but they're actually a cookie. A very yummy cookie.

A Hunger Like No Other is actually book 2 in the series. The novella The Warlord Wants Forever is the 1st book.
Read the book in this order:
1st book The Warlord Wants Forever (novella)
2nd book A Hunger Like No Other
3rd book No Rest for the Wicked
4th book Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night
5th book Dark Needs at Night's Edge
6th book Dark Desires After Dusk
7th book Kiss of a Demon King
8th book Deep Kiss of Winter (novella)
9th book Pleasure of a Dark Prince
10th book Demon from the Dark
11th book Dreams of a Dark Warrior
12th book Lothaire

Enjoy! This book is one of my favorite in the series. Once my life settles down, I plan to finish the last two book. It's been almost a year since I read Demon from the Dark鈥搈y FAVORITE book of the series鈥擨'm thinking I better do a re-read. ;)

And funny, too. I loved N茅omi's tongue-in-cheek thoughts about the whole situation in the first few chapters.

I was on vacation last week and didn't have internet access until yesterday. I think GR has finally lost it. It posted this review and one of my older reviews while I was gone. Freaky weird!!
