Well, well, I'm impressed.
Charming, witty, funny and so darn good - this was a delightful reading/listening experience. At times, I was giggling at some of the wry, candid observations.
This novel has an adorable cast of characters, with interesting personalities and skills, which, when combined, become a formidable force of sly detective work.
This is one of the most enjoyable reads of this year, a fun ride.
I hope Osman has more fun books in him because we all need more humourous novels to read.

It's so nice to come across a book that makes me smile. I read way too many "serious" books. I hope people who saw me doing my daily walks didn't think me crazy, because I was giggling while listening to the audiobook.

I think you'll enjoy it, Jan. I had both the audiobook and the paperback on hold, luckily the audiobook came in first. :-) It was such a breath of fresh air, I enjoyed it very much. If you don't mind British accents, the narrator was wonderful.

Thanks, Laysee. It wasn't my find, I've just seen lots of people raving about it, which is why I took the plunge. :-)

Thanks, Fran. I so needed something to make me smile.

:-) I don't come across many books that make me smile, so I'm always grateful when someone tickles my funny bone. :-)

I thought it was good, so British in a good way. I hope you enjoy it, too.

I remember your review, and a few others', which prompted me to check it out for myself. I'm glad I did. I believe it's harder to write a humorous book than a sad one.

I hope you'll enjoy it! I usually stay away from anything with "murder" in the title, but was convinced to try it by others' enthusiastic reviews.

It's his first novel. He's a British comedian, presenter, producer etc. - obviously, a talented guy. So, do try it if you need a break from serious reads.

It was such a pleasant surprise. I'm glad I picked it up.

It was so much fun. I hope both of you enjoy it. La multi ani!

Thanks, Angela. I can't wait for the sequel, I think it's being published in September.
