I most be truly honest here. This is a book that I would have probably skipped right over if not for Cheri’s beguiling review. I am so grateful to have read it because much to my surprise I adored this unusual but lovely, quirky book and its characters. It left me with a warm heart and smiles. But most of all it reminded me to be a little kinder to the people I encounter ..you never know what someone is carrying in their hearts .

Well said Linda..Tova's compassion and positive outlook are complimented by Marcell's in spite of him being an octopus! You might enjoy "Harry's Trees" by Jon Cohen since it's an inspirational story like this one
Margaret, I always appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments. I guess I am picky with my choices of books. I do rely on the excellent reviews of my friends I have found here. The fact that I lost reading time during the outbreak time of Covid has put me behind others and allowed me to be able pick what I read with greater resources of excellent reviews. I am very thankful for that.
