Oh no...

I hate this book!! It's a big-ass bore (especially the second half)!!

Michelle Oh shit! When you tell me these things, you're usually right. One of my other friends looooves this book.

(What to do?! You would know would you?!)

Jason I always thought the word 'boring' was a poor descriptor and more often than not a reflection on the reader more than that which is being read. Yeah, no, this book is fucking boring.

Michelle Hee! In that case I don't regret abandoning it. I honestly thought about picking it back up someday, but I probably never will.

P.S. Can you guess who the 'Deleted Member' is?
: )

I sure can! Whenever I see "deleted member," I check for perfect sentence structure and a pre–December 2009 posting date. That kid is such a trip, I fucking love it.

Michelle Of course that comment was typed prior to his anti-more-than-one-exclamation-point stance.

Jason YES, NOW HE JUST USES ALL CAPS WHEN HE WANTS YOUR ATTENTION.

Jason Although, ha! Did you notice he doubled up on exclamations there, too? He's such a little waffler.

message 9: by Michelle (new) - added it

Michelle He is a notorious waffler. Soon he will be using 'hopefully' in place of 'I hope.'

Jason I wonder if his ears are ringing.

message 11: by Michelle (new) - added it

Michelle I doubt it. He's pretty clueless.

But he thinks he's an omniscient know-it-all! What an ego he has, right??

Jason Stay strong, Michelle. I know you want to shout out, "WE'RE JUST KIDDDDDDING" but don't do it. It's what he wants us to do.

message 14: by Michelle (new) - added it

Michelle I'm not going to do it. Not this time.

(view spoiler)

Michelle Did you/do you watch The Office? It's like that one episode when Michael Scott tried to control himself around the corporate office folks but ended up shouting 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!'

Jason There's this horribly funny story my co-worker likes to tell. Back when he used to work in Cambridge, there was a worker in the lab who was really super meek and always apologetic to everybody. It got so bad that they sent her to assertiveness training. A year later she got fired for being argumentative with her boss. HA!

Michelle I love it!

That is one of my irrational fears - that one day I'll grow a backbone and alienate everybody by going to the opposite extreme. I recently felt guilty for telling my doctor I had been waiting a long time when she apologized for making me wait. She saw me forty-five minutes past my scheduled appointment time.

Jason It is rotten how nice we are. I always feel guilty when someone apologizes to me for something, even if I feel I'm owed one.
