I was in the mood for a heartfelt, low-drama, sweet mm sports romance. This one hit all the right spots.
We are each other's first man. Everything we've done together has been a discovery.
Hunter was 16 when Bryce was drafted into the NHL. Every practice, every game Hunter sought to be just like his hero. And then 6 years later, when he too was drafted into the NHL, he was able to meet his hero in person.

Excellent beginning, dragged in the middle, good ending and hea.

Thanks Iman 💜 I really needed a low-drama story, the timing was perfect

len ❀ i’m so, so happy to see you enjoyed this. i personally love tal’s sappy books lol it gives me a break from real life and its problems. i knew what i was getting into when i started this (aka no angst, sappy, sweet), so i enjoyed pretty much every bit of it. i still have yet to read tal’s backlist but with what i’ve read by him, i’ve come to learn whag to expect of his writing and characters yknow?
anyway, irrelevant but i’m glad you enjoyed this and that it was exactly what you needed. 💜

Rain Thanks Elena 💜 It really did make me happy! Even Bauer's "not my favorite" books still make me happy, I just love his writing. I love his sensitivity, I love that he's not afraid to make mm stories mushy, sweet, and really romantic. I first read his Enemies of the State and The Murder Bewteen us (both are so good!) and those have his signature writing but are also heavier, introspective stories. Highly recommend if you like a romantic suspense.
