Cute in some ways (friends to lovers), very readable and a little thought provoking but only because I asked myself the same question - am I happy in everything I am doing?. While I pressure check myself all the time - being on holiday with loads of time on your hands away from work is an interesting time to ask yourself that very question.

Will review in more detail at some point, but the premise of the story was good, if not very predictable. The people you meet on vacation is actually yourself or the person you thought you knew. I hadn't read the blurb so that was a bit of a surprise. A great beach read, an enjoyable page turner, and a moment for reflection.

Worth putting in your next holiday case. 3.5 stars rounded down.

Cara Great review, Margaret💞!!!! I totally agree with this review!!!! I didn't love it as much, but it was still a good book!!!! Beach Read and Book Lovers were definitely my favorites by Emily Henry!!!!
