i absolutely love lily and lo. i can see why a lot of people have disliked this book, but honestly continuing on the series and coming back you just truly see the pain they were going through, and how enabling had led their relationship/friendship in the past.
my first time reading this book i was definitely apart of the "idk if they should be together they are incredibly toxic" but as addicts, they truly only had each other. now i will go to hell just to protect my babies 🫂
this book was able to show the raw ugly side of addiction, rather than the glamorization we get from media all around us. it shows the damage addiction does not only to yourself but to the people you love the most around you. my heart literally aches for them and continues to ache for them because idc if they arent realim in denial bc i wanna believe they are real i truly just want to give them the world THEY DESERVE IT 🥹
this was a really good introduction to this world and even tho i still need the last two books in this particular series (lily and lo's books) i do not want to imagine closing this part of my life where they arent apart of it anymore 🥲 am i just rambling now? yes. could it be bc im sleep deprived? also yes.
