4 Stars.
Completely unlike any Wedding I’ve ever been to, that’s for sure!
A Wedding.
A Remote Island in the Middle of Nowhere.
A Dark and Stormy Night.
Sounds Like a Recipe for the Perfect Evening.
***
The Guests: Jules, the Bride (who is very excited to be marrying Will even though she hardly knows him); Aoife, the Wedding Planner; Hannah, the Plus One (her husband Charlie is the Bride’s Best Friend); Johnno, the Best Man (who has been friends with the groom since boarding school and who has never felt good enough), Olivia, the Bride’s Half-Sister (who has never been all that friendly with sister dear and who is full of secrets these days).
***
The Night of the Wedding. Something has happened. Something bad. Yet no one knows what.
From the days leading up to the wedding until the hours after, we see the guests secrets unfold. Turns out everyone has something to hide. Who knew?!
Cue the alcohol. This crowd clearly needs lots of it.
To think they’d all go to a deserted island where no one is safe!
Dark, Ominous and Foreboding, “The Guest List is quite the thriller and it hit almost every mark. There was only one tiny little thing that bugged me. That aside, this was completely compelling and highly entertaining, Well done Ms. Foley, I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
This was a buddy read/listen with Kaceey.
Thank you to Libro.FM and Lucy Foley for the arc.
