This British Author usually writes Psychological thrillers and I enjoyed her book, "Between you and me" so I wanted to give this one a try. It was on sale for $1.99 on Amazon and it was a fun little read!
It's a time-travel story between 2019 and 1949. In 2019 Lily has travelled to Hollywood from England. She wants to get into show business and is currently working at the ultra posh Beverly Hills Hotel. She's cleaning a luxurious suite where a famous starlet was stabbed to death in 1949. Lily bumps her head while cleaning the bathtub and somehow finds herself in 1949 in the suite of Honey Black. Lily feels she can help prevent the starlet's death and must figure out who is out to kill her before it's too late.
I love the Golden age of Hollywood and this story really transports you to that era. I feel like this had a cozy-mystery feel to it. It's a light and easy read that entertains.

Sort of, for sure she's giving me Marilyn vibes! She's a new starlet in 1940's Hollywood. I've read another of this author's works and this one is different from her usual thrillers.

Thanks Mica. So far I'm engaged!
