Her comments about censorship and banned books and banned art exhibitions reminded me of all the lost opportunities for my generations we’ve missed so many unmade movies, not played songs and unwritten books!!!! We’ve missed so much and are still missing more!!!
Knowing how one of my favourite translators has lived, is interesting. Especially the home she was brought up in, where all the great poets, filmmakers, writers and intellectuals of that time used to gather...
It filled me up with nostalgia and pride!!
The parts about her last visit to Shamlu made me cry... Our literature has suffered many losses: Shamlu's death, Akhavan's, Golshiri's, Ahmad Mahmood's... and so many more!!
