‼️DISCLAIMER‼️ I have read neither the hunger games or red queen so I can't compare this book to them. I watched the hunger games movies and yes, it's true, this book is very similar to them; almost...too similar😟 the plot then wasn't really very original and it felt like I was reading a mix of every romantasy out there but put in one. I admit that the tropes were a bit cliché, you know, when you put the strangest food together to cook something so you don't have to go to grocery, yeah that's what happened here but surprisingly, it didn't come out too bad. Some tropes were actually even cute and made me giggle sometimes🤭

and now about the writing: *deep breath* to say it briefly, it was repetitive but other than that, all right. (there is a scene copy pasted from the shatter me series but I'll just act as if nothing happened and I didn't see that🥰)

Also Lauren Roberts has fav words and it shows😭 the amount of time the following words were repeated makes me laugh a little bit.

You know when you have to write an essay and to avoid being repetitive you end up searching for synonyms? That's when you know you put some effort in that. This process was not done here. But considering this was her debut novel, I'm curious to know where the story will go and can't wait to read the second one in summer😗
I'd just suggest changing editors tbh
