🔎Two profilers
🔪One emotion reader
🔎One walking talking encyclopedia of statistics and probabilities
🔪One human lie detector
╰What do they all have in common?
They are five teens with natural abilities recruited by the FBI to join “The Naturals program and tasked with solving cold cases.
˗ˏˋ my thoughts ˎˊ˗
This was a fun, quick and easy YA read, but I’ve got to say I was a little disappointed. I thought there would be more case solving, but that just happened later in the book and it was kind of underwhelming. This book is divided in five parts and I really enjoyed the first one and how the author set up the story, keeping you intrigued enough to keep the pages turning. Though the second part started to lose me a little. I feel like the author focused too much and too little on the characters and their relationships, without ever really developing them enough, and forgot about the plot sometimes. I wish the whole case was more developed and centered than it was.
˗ˏˋ characters ˎˊ˗
I really enjoyed all of them but wish they were more developed, they were a bit superficial, especially the interrelations they had. Also, I didn’t hate the love triangle per se, but it happened really suddenly and I didn’t have enough connections with the characters to care.
Overall this was a good start into a series with an interesting concept that keeps you engaged enough. And though I think this is for a younger audience I still feel like you can appreciate it as an adult.

I feel like I’m getting into a slump over my current read, so I just need something fresh and witty.
I’m so excited to be delving into this genre and book series.

ˏˋ°*⁶ He and his team, this program-they didn’t just want to teach me how to hone my skills. They wanted to use them to catch killers.
Serial killers.

Theory: I don’t know why but I don’t trust Agent Locke, I have a feeling she might be the killer or helping them in some way 🤔
