OMG OMG WHAT HAS THIS SERIES DONE TO ME?? I swear this series has actually changed my brain chemistry 🤭🤭 The world, these characters, all of the laugh out loud moments, all the moments I swooned, and all the moments I wanted to sob, just own my heart 🥺🥺 I know Apprentice To The Villain is getting a lot of hate for not living up to the expectations after the first book, and to be totally honest, i can see why some people would think that, but for me this was PURE PERFECTION 🤌🤌 I read this series when I was in the middle of one of the hugest slumps of my life, and read this whole duology in under 4 days 🫢🫢 I honestly don't know what to do with myself now it's over, and I'm already planning when I'm gonna reread it (yes i finished this series like a week ago) 🥰🥰

�� Evie: My precious sunshine girly 🥹🥰 I love her so so much 🫶🫶 Literally live laugh love Evie Sage 💓💓 It's official, if I had to pick only one character who sums up my entire personality, I would choose Evie in a heartbeat 🤭🤭 I love how she is always so cheerful and bubbly, yet is so resilient and never backs out at the first sign of trouble 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔�� She is such a good friend to Blade, Tati and even Becky, and the best sister ever to Lyssa 🥰🫂 Her witty comebacks are EVERYTHING, and her inner monologue is PURE PERFECTION 🥹🤌�� Seeing her try to fight feeling for Trystan was the funniest thing ever, and I love how she just admits defeat and openly accepts to herself that she is in love with him 😍😍 I NEED THE THIRD BOOK NOW, THAT CLIFHANGER?? I'M UNWELL 🤧🤧

�� Trystan: MY MAN 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀�� He can literally do no wrong 🤧🤧 Apprentice to the Villain started on a brutal note on Trystan's side, and saying I was anxious to see what would happen would be a severe understatement 😅😅 Thankfully everything worked out but my heart BROKE for him when he had to see (view spoiler)[Evie in a coffin, and that he thought she was actually dead 😭😭 (hide spoiler)] I feel like we got so much character development on Trystan's behalf and I was here for every second of it🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔�� I love how he may portray a cold hearted killer with a stony exterior, but is such a cinnamon roll on the inside 🥹🥰 He is so loyal to the ones he loves and would do anything he can to protect them 🤭🤭 I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the way he was also so good with Lyssa, I mean he literally dressed up and attended her tea party, how could I not I love him 😍😍

✧₊�� "Because we are always expected to plaster a grin on our faces even when we don’t wish to. I used to do it so often, I stopped being able to tell when I was smiling for me or for someone else. So now, I don’t smile unless I’m one hundred percent sure it’s something I want to do, not something someone else wants me to do."✧₊��

�� Other Characters: I really really liked most of the side characters!! I'm so happy we finally got to learn more about Kinglsey too 🐸🐸 (tho I still have A LOT of questions). I'm so happy to say that Becky has definitely grown on me, and she is now one on my fav characters 🤭🤭 She has such a complex back story, and I love how you get to see all of her character growth and development (her chapters were the best 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕��) I still love love love Blade, and I was OVERJOYED, at the little side romance that was happening between him and Becky 🥰🥰 I love Claire and Tati sm, and I am so happy that we got to see more of them in this book 🥹💓 Lyssa is so cute, and whilst she might have frustrated me at some points but I still love her so much 🥹🥰

�� Evie + Trystan: MY ROMAN EMPIRE 💗😭🫶🏻 Brb omw to abandon my whole tbr and pick up more grumpy x sunshine novels 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡�� When I say I was living for their banter, I mean I was LIVING FOR IT 🤭🤭 I only breathed when they did, if they laughed, I laughed. If they cried, I cried, (Yes they do have that much power over my emotions 🤧🫂) They are so precious istg I will protect them with my life 🥺🥺 I love how they both ended up losing the constant battle in their heads and both admitted (to their selves) that they had feeling for one another 🥹🥰 Their banter and chemistry are EVERYTHING 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀�� If I could only read about one couple for the rest of my life, they would be serious contenders 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔�� Please please please Hannah Nicole Maehrer give them the happy ending they deserve 🙏🙏 I don't think my heart could handle otherwise 🥺🥺

OMG what a stunning sequel!! The Assistant to the Villain series is perfect for curing slumps like mine, or a cutesy book that will instantly lift your mood 🤭🤭 I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for:
