Astounding, lovely, sad, tragic, life-affirming. An amazing work set in Germany in its darkest hour - World War II. I couldn't put this book down until I had finished it.

Margie, I should be more concise more of the time. Being too wordy was a criticism I used to get from some of my writing professors.
