Ruin (Ruin, #1)
by
Such a sweet, emotional story <3
“Wherever I am, whatever I'm doing, alive or dead, young or old, my heart will always be with yours. Every beat you feel against your fingertips..." His fingers tapped against my chest, once, twice. "... is me calling out to you. It's you returning the call. It's us talking, communicating, bonding, sharing, Living -- Kiersten, it's us living.
Kiersten has spent the last two years consumed with grief and guilt. Struggling to deal with the pain from a tragic loss. Then one day in runs into Weston - a sexy, cocky, senior with secrets of his own. Wes makes it his mission to help Kiersten learn how to live and to overcome her fears. While she unknowingly helps him find the courage to fight his own battles.
I told her I wanted her world to change. Hadn’t expected mine to shift as well.
So the big bad wolf falls for the innocent little lamb, but is time on their side?
Time...what an absolute horror inducing word.
Ruin is a quick, captivating PG read.
Sugary sweet with some emotional angst.
A bit over the top, and unrealistic but enjoyable.
“You rescued me and I found my ruin. I bit down on my lip. “I’m ruined for you and I won’t ever be the same. It’s the greatest gift anyone’s ever given me.
