really liked it
bookshelves: drama, sufism, oldies

I can divide this novel into 2 big chapters. the 1st chapter to 16th, is written by Nizami's heart. I can feel the hurt & longing feeling that Majnun feels (which describe Nizami's power of mastering my heart) while after those chapters, I found myself angry of Majnun's selfishness in living his life as love-slave. This is a tiring novel though,it plays with your heart...
Anyway, if Nizami wanted to say about the madness in loving God in a darwis' life, I will learn from this novel that even when you love the rightest thing in this world, still, you just can't leave the world behind you and make other person hurt because of that. Even when you believe this is the right thing, you just can't ignore other lives that created by God (the only one that you love). When you love somebody, you just have to care about everything connected to the one you love as well.
Nizami was truly one of the greatest writer ever lived.

Afkham The Original book is not a novel but it is poetry so one of its charms is an old tale told in more than 4700 verses of poem!
