Questions or problems with completed task posts will be posted here.

If you have questions about your points on the Readerboard:

1. Make sure that the Readerboard has been updated through the post that you are concerned about.
2. Please check your math.
3. Check to see if one of your posts is listed in this thread with a question. If so, please make a NEW POST in the Completed tasks thread to clear up the question. DO NOT go back and edit the original post. I will not go backwards in the completed task thread to pick up points.
4. To avoid further questions/problems, please refer to the TASK DESCRIPTIONS and the POSTING REQUIREMENTS.

Thank you for helping keep the record keeping for the challenge as manageable as possible.

Daphne (daphnesm) | 486 comments I see the first update for points for the first 50 posts. I think my numbers are off, but I don't see a post here with an issue with any of my points.

Thanks for checking on it. :)

thanks, Daphne. The first time I use the spreadsheet in the season it sometimes has some bugs - quick responses let me fix them before they get out of hand!

No...thank you and all the mods here so much. This is such a wonderful challenge and group. I've expanded my reading horizons so very much since joining last year. All the dedication you all put into making it run makes it incredibly enjoyable.

I want to make sure I haven't misunderstood about books I read before the beginning of the challenge. If I read a book during the previous challenge time frame but did not post the book, am I able to use it in the current challenge? or am I only allowed to post a book for which I've read less than half in the previous challenge?

Thanks!

Please see the Rules of the Challenge:

"10. Pre-reading: Books longer than 499 pages that were started any time before the beginning of a challenge can be used to fulfill a task if more than half the book is read during the challenge.
For example, if you were to read 249 pages (or less) of a 500 page book before the start of a challenge, this book would count if it met a task requirement. However, if you had read 250 pages (or more) of a 500 page book before the start of a challenge, this book would not count. Books less than 500 pages should NOT be begun before the start of a challenge."

You cannot use a book that you read during the previous challenge. You can only use a book for this challenge if it is at least 500 pages and you read less than half of it before the challenge began.

It's fine to include more than one task in a post, but you need to put them in numerical order, lowest to highest. See #12 in the Posting Requirements and post 1 in the Completed Tasks Posting Thread.

Please repost these tasks.

If you choose option 1 for task 15.4, you need to read 2 books - to use only one book for the task, you need to choose option 2, one book that meets both A and B.

Also, The Hobbit has the main page genre Childrens, so you will need to comply with the rules regarding childrens books. Please review the rules for the posting requirements for books with the main page genre childrens or kids. Posting Requirements #7.

"Graphic novels, manga or collected comic book issues must be at least 100 pages.
Collections of syndicated, periodical or internet comic strips, single or short-format panels, or cartoons must be at least 200 pages to be used for SRC tasks." See Rules of the Challenge.

To claim a Golden Oldies ticket, you must include the year in which the book was first published in your post. See the Posting Requirements.

If you repost to claim a GO ticket, indicate at the top of your post that it is a repost to claim a GO ticket, so that it is clear that this is not a new task posting. Remember that reposts must be complete, including links.

If you are claiming a BB ticket and you read an ebook or an audiobook, you must include a link to the paper edition used to establish length as well as a link to the edition you acutually read. Please see the Posting Requirements.

If you repost to claim a BB ticket, please indicate at the TOP of your post that it is a repost only to claim a BB ticket and that it is not a new task posting.

only 4 genres right now, there were more when I reviewed the task post. Since it is a childrens book, you'd be better off to just follow the childrens book rules and include the ARBF info than to try to catch it at a time when GR has lowered the # of main page genres so childrens doesn't show up..

For task 5.3, you claimed Guns - that appears to be only 25 pages. A 25 page kindle single will not work for the challenge. Please see the Rules of the Challenge.

Also, any book that only exists in ebook/audiobook format must be verified for length in the Ebook verification thread.
