Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I'm about 70% through The Raven Boys.

For the first few pages I was like "yeah, OK... It's not bad, but I don't get what the big deal is." Then it started to pick up. Now I'm loving it, and the only reason I haven't finnished it yet was because it got to about 2:00 am, I really needed sleep, and haven't had time to put my Kindle back on today. LOL!

So to help with my Raven Cycle series hangover, I grabbed something really light to read. Happily Ever After (The Selection, #0.4, 0.5, 2.5, 2.6) by Kiera Cass . That seemed to work, especially since I had read these novellas before although to be honest, I barely remember reading them. Whoops.

I'm heading out to BookCon in a few hours! So I'm obsessing right now over which books to bring to be signed. ;)

Today I finished my audio of A World Without Princes (The School for Good and Evil, #2) by Soman Chainani and I really loved it!

Also read Cruel Crown (Red Queen, #0.1-#0.2) by Victoria Aveyard today. It was just what I needed to get myself back in this world! Pretty good stories, too. They are both great background info that is helping me a lot in the next book!

Tonight I started Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2) by Victoria Aveyard for a buddy read, and I'm LOVING it so far!

Also still reading Rebellion (Ixeos Trilogy, #2) by Jennings Wright and my reread of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6) by J.K. Rowling

When I finish at least one of these books, I'm going to FINALLY finish The Martian by Andy Weir ! Darryl's been waiting to watch the movie with me far too long, and I want to read the book first! I'm horrible making him wait :P

I'm planning to read The Martian soon too. I've been meaning to read it for some time, and it's one of the books of the month on another group I'm on, so I'm hoping to read it before the month is out.

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I am reading Apocalyptica - Part Two (Ran) by Joshua Guess which is part two of a series. Am listening currently to Thicker Than Blood (Thicker Than Blood, #1) by Claire C. Riley which is tuning out to be more of a romance than an adventure story so I may leave that one.

starting When We Collided by Emery Lord next.

Strings is a good choice!

Having both read the eBook and listened to the audiobook, I can tell you that it's amazing as an eBook, and even more awesome as an audiobook!

Since I do have to wait, however, I read The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and then started The Martian.

Ditto!

I'd end up living in what would essentially be a library with a small kitchen and bathroom. Oh, and an area set aside for writing, of course. I won't worry about a bed... I'll have comfy reading spaces anyway, so I'll just curl up and sleep wherever I happen to be when I get too sleepy to read any more. ;)

message 539: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Stoolfire | 2047 comments I just finished Amanda Lester and the Pink Sugar Conspiracy (Amanda Lester, Detective, #1) by Paula Berinstein and it was fantastic - easily a new favorite middle grade novel and a top notch mystery.

I'm still working my way through Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2) by Victoria Aveyard - I'm about half way through right now and I hope to finish it tomorrow. It's been a crazy weekend and I worked full shifts both days and got roped into staying overtime as well...
