Juanita (juanitav) | 744 comments If you have a list (even if incomplete) of what you plan to read for the challenge post it here. You can edit it as time goes on if you need to. That way we can see what others are planning for their year. Don't worry if you haven't picked your books yet, either. Some people are planning all 52 in advance, some aren't. Do what is right for you to have fun with this challenge.

As you finish a book you can either put a * or a next to it to show how many you've read so far. To get a checkmark on a PC hold the Alt key and type 251. On a Mac hold the Option key and type "V". You can also copy and paste the checkmarks I've made
To do strikethrough text like this you type this first < s > then the text you'd like a line through then this < /s > but take out the spaces.

Tip from the mod: Remember the number of your post. That way it's easier to find when you need to update it. (The number won't change throughout the year.)

There's a separate thread for the main list of 40 prompts. This list is for the overachievers who want to do 52 books (or alternatively, for those who want to do a shorter challenge of only 12 for the year).

Anna (annaholla) I like to use only one prompt per book. I try to read broadly across genres, using books by women, people of color and LGBTQ authors as often as I can.

Also this year, I'm trying to read mostly books that are set in London for the next few months -- I've just moved here and find it's a great way to get to know a new city. So if you have suggestions, please DM me!
