LOL Lovecraftian llamas - I can see a possible story about that!

Are you wondering if the Crouch stories would qualify as horror? We use a fairly wide definition of horror here: if the story sends shivers up your spine or keeps you up at night, it's horror. :)
Crouch is popular with our group.

I finished up

This book was extreme, but it was really good!

This book was really good too and has some extreme parts mixed with vengeful ghosts!

It's a shame Ira Levin only wrote a few books, and only half of them were horror/thrillers, because he wrote some damn fine books.

Whilst I really enjoyed it, I struggled a little with the ending and following the magic!

The end sealed it for me, pretty enjoyable."
I'm looking forward to the TV series on Showtime. I hope they don't mess it up.
I finished up In Darkness, Delight: Creatures of the Night

At first I thought this book would turn into a DNF but I ended up really liking it."
So it wasn't as 'dry' as it seemed, then? :P (Sorry. Couldn't resist saying that!)

My first book by Wright. It was good, and will definitely be reading more by him. 3/5

My 3 star review: Hobgoblin by John Coyne

You know, that's my least favorite of what I've read from him so far.

I think I need to read these, Kate!

Congratulations, Thomas!

I think you do. 😁

So often am I recommended haunted house and ghost books that end up being a 300 page work without barely a mention of ghosts (sorry Peter Straub, I'm looking at you).
Crickley is the quintessential haunted house story. So many ghost encounters, good and bad spirits and in a fantastic setting. Solid 5 star rating.
Perfect start to the spooky season.
