A couple of things to keep in mind:
Communication is key. Please make sure to check in regularly with your team.
Let your team know if it looks like you won't get your review posted by Wednesday/Saturday, 11:59pm. You do have all of Thursday/Sunday to submit your review, but it can be intensely frustrating for your captain if they don't know when or if they can expect your review before the deadline.
If you know beforehand that you won't be able to read and review a book during a certain period of time, you can request a pre-arranged absence from me, either by posting the request in the discussion thread or by sending me a pm. The request has to be submitted before the team rolls for the time period in question, can only be approved by me as the mod in charge of running the game, and has to state a reason for the absence. (Reasons for pre-arranged absences can include e.g. going on vacation or work trips, planned hospital stays, exam period, etc.)
If you do not have a pre-arranged absence and won't be able to finish your book in time for an unforeseen reason, please let your team know as soon as possible. If the team has earned the free pass, it can be used to cover the missing review. Without a free pass, the team has to sit out the next roll.
We all know that real life gets in the way sometimes, be it through family emergencies, work emergencies, natural disasters, technical problems making it impossible to get online, or in other ways. That being said, please do keep in mind that this is a team challenge and your team relies on you to do your part unless an emergency occurs.
If you find that the pressure of keeping up with the pace of the game gets too much for you or you wish to stop playing for any other reason, you can drop out of the challenge at any time. In that case, please let your team captain and/or me know that you wish to drop out rather than just disappearing without a word so your team won't be penalized when you fail to turn in your review. Thank you!
Captain's Handbook
The team's captain is its chief organizer. This includes rolling the dice, posting the team's new spot to the team thread and the Post Your Spot thread, collecting links to team members' review posts in a single post to be linked in the Post Your Spot thread, doublechecking that books and review posts comply with requirements, reminding team members to post their reviews in time if necessary, etc.
The captain may delegate some tasks, such as rolling and posting the new spot to the team thread, to another team member if they so choose. (Either a designated roller who fulfills this role for every roll, or whichever team member is online first once rolling is possible.) Collecting reviews into a single post and posting to the Post Your Spot thread should always be handled by the captain.
Instead of having everything handled by a single team captain, teams can also choose two co-captains to handle the workload.
Selection posts are not strictly required by the game's rules and I won't be checking for them. It's up to the team captain to decide whether they want them.
If the team captain requests a pre-arranged absence, it's their responsibility to arrange for another team member to step in as temporary captain.
The team captain is my primary point of contact for the team and should allow receiving private messages.

I think I'm glad I haven't read the previous books that have these characters because I got to go into it without any opinions on either on of these guys. Ben is a repressed, sort of fucked up gay man who moved to San Fran to live his best life away from his horrible, sadistic, gross parents. Xavier is Ben's friend from childhood, his first kiss and also living in San Fran. Ben contacts Xavier and they start their journey. And oh what a journey it is. I've been skipping quite a few sex scenes in my books lately but not this one. No way, no how. Refreshingly sexy and hot. Not a lot of angst in this one, a bit but nothing ott. Very enjoyable read. Kind of loved it.

I will be reading

I can back you up....hopefully.

This story starts with Dex and Ash in a car speeding to the hospital after the ambulance carry Sloane, their team leader. Destructive Delta is put on leave because their two strongest thierans have been gravely injured. They go against orders to make sure those who were responsible for targeting the team is brought to justice. During that operation Cael, Dex's brother and team mate, is captured and injured. Further intrigue is added to continue the series.

So there were some elements of this I liked...hello Tucker...but there were a lot of elements that bugged me too. I wanted to like Sabrina more than I did but she really held back and wouldn't let herself go there with Tucker for way too long. I think the large gap I had between reading the first couple books in this series, and then reading this one didn't help either. Things that I probably should have known about from the previous book I had completely forgotten, so when things got to the pregnancy bit I was thrown for a loop. I read some reviews that mentioned the previous book, so clearly it was something I might have had a hint of if I had read these closer together. And well frankly I thought it was pretty poorly handled in this one. I mean the circumstances upon which she got pregnant, while I guess technically feasible, were pretty ridiculous.
Still the quality of the writing is good and I enjoyed all the friends around them. I'm happy to have finished the series finally. :)

Its been a while since i read the first three books of this series so I didn't immediately remember all of these characters but that didn't stop getting sucked in to the story right away.I really liked Catalina and found her a very strong interesting heroine. The story itself drew me in as Catalina tried to solve the murder of her client's mother and found herself sucked in to a whole different world of trouble and loved thepace of the story in general. The world of this series is especially interesting and I love reading about the different powers. All in al I loved everything about this book and can't the read further in this series

I originally read this back in 2012 so I was curious if I would love it as much as I remembered. And I almost did! I wouldn't give it five stars now but still liked it a lot. But...if Edward was so freaking rich why was he driving around in a freaking Mazda Miata? I don't know why that detail stuck with me but there it is. That said Edward was so unabashedly fabulous and Jack's first encounter with him and Winston actually made me laugh. I could just picture it so well. I had read these out of order initially so this go around I actually knew all the supporting characters which made the story so much better. Loved these two together, wish we had more time with them actually together but overall my favorite book by Lynn Lorenz to date.

read:9/2/19
Rated: 5 Stars
I love this series but after book 3 I stopped reading because it didn't work for my challenges. I loved this book because you cannot beat a double hurt comfort book. Add in an age gap of 17 years plus a madcap secondary character and many thing combine to make this a potent book. Gianni (Johnny) Dombruso lost his parents when he was 4 Nana Dombruso raised him on his brother's then. Alexzander (Zan) Tillane is a musical prodigy become pop star who mysteriously disappeared after leaving in the middle of a concert and has been living in isolation for over a decade. Gianni is a submissive with esteem issues. Gianni becomes Zan's deal with the world assistant when the previous assistant, Zan's son, has to quit for medical reasons. Zan has many problems basically stemming from being to long withdrawn from the world. When Zan emerges from isolation to win over Gianni he sets up a media frenzy when he is recognized. Chaos ensues even as love abounds.
And as it is set in California so in North America it qualifies for the 2 in 1

Freaky Reapers by Amanda M. Lee

This instalment crossed over two different series I am enjoying and which made it an extra fun read. The only down side was that though i am up to date in one series, for the other secondary series, this story was set about 4 or so books ahead so ther were a few spoilers involved. In this instalment, Poet is back in Detroit where she lived as a street kid for a couple of years prior to be saved by Max and brought to the circus and in many ways she had to face up to a lot of unfinished business from that time during this book along solving the paranormal mystery of the banshees.
I loved the interaction between Poet, Luke, Kade and the Grimlocks though I was sad there was no Aidan or jerry in this book. I also liked that we got to see other sides of the many characters and this made the book that much more fun. At this stage this is most the most recent and latest instalment of the Mystic caravan series having only been published last month but I really hope it is not the last book in the series and i am really enjoying this series and these characters and I am hoping to get to see them in more adventures

I really enjoy this series. The whole thing are quick reads, but I enjoy the fact that all the characters are misunderstood bad boys. Of course this time it's Rumpelstiltskin, the demon imp deal master. His deals are notorious as is the man, but he has a secret and he's determined no matter what to find battle the curse he's under. And he's determined that Shayera is the woman who can maybe finally be the one.
Shayera is determined to save her father from Rumpelstiltskin's threat and go with the imp. But she has a secret herself and it's made her life difficult for too many years. She has never been able to be close to anyone but her family for fear of their reactions to her nature.
I really enjoyed this story. I liked Shayera and Rumpel's reactions to each other and since these are fairytale stories you know it's all going to work out in the end.

Review: Hmmm this is the a good start on the series and I Find I want to read more. Dex is quite a character and the team he and Sloane are in is populated with interesting Characters. the action and mystery are well written, but the twist was telegraphed at least to me. lets just say the interconnection of many of the characters are very interesting. new update Dex is a character you have to read to even understand why he is such a loved character he seem so shallow but is so deep. Sure he into 80's music and didn't seem to age feeling wise after puberty Still has that quirky sense of humor as only is experienced by teen males and those who don't want to age past then.

I've been waiting to read this until book three came out and it finally did so I jumped on this one right away. I'll admit I didn't have to go back and read the end of book one so I would remember what was going on but I was glad to do it. Love these books. Caspian is so screwed up that it sometimes gets frustrating but heartbreaking at the same time. Must read the next book right away. Yay!

Wow. I've enjoyed Naomi Novik's writing in the past, and this book was no exception. The quality of her world building is really stunning. This book caught me up from the very beginning. It's a wonderful fairytale, with hints at Beauty & the Beast and a few other fairytales, but really is it's own story once it gets rolling.
I really loved Agnieszka. She's never been anything special and yet somehow she ends up being more special than everyone else around her. But she's a humble country girl whose determined to do the right thing. Magic isn't going to change that. She stumbles, makes mistakes and yet still strives on to try to save the day. The romance in this story is really a side little bit of almost nothing. I actually liked that it wasn't played up too much. It left me wanting more between them, but still knowing that the Dragon was as caught in her web as he could be, no matter how much he resisted. He's a harsh, bitter man whose never really known kindness and Agnieszka is a breath of fresh air he's in turns exasperated and intrigued by.
This whole thing spilled out in a roller coaster of dark and twisty. I loved every moment of it. The Woods were the right kind of scary and evil. I loved that they were sentient and most of the time one step ahead. Such a great read.
