I really enjoyed this book. Nine years ago Richard Allen left England and his controlling, abusive father. He refused to marry the brat he was betrothed to since childhood. The two hated each other from day one of their meeting. Richard was in love with another woman, one who was already married. Julia Miller is the so called brat to marry Richard. Julia is determined to speak with her solicitors to deem him legally dead so she can move on with her life, find a man that she loves and settle down to raise a family with. Until they meet at a masquerade ball. Not knowing who the other is, they find they are interested in each other. When the masks come off, so do the gloves. Through the anger and hatred for each other, they need to find a way to break this marriage contract. This story was so much fun to read. The volatile childhood antics they had were so funny and even when they meet again as adults. So many emotions with this book. Love, anger, sadness, laughter and some steamy romance. It was a book with love, romance, forgiveness, second chances, breaking away from abusive people, mystery and suspense. Everything I enjoy in a good book. Although this is book 10 in the series, I had no problem following along and feel it can be a read on it's own book. I would give it more than a five star review if I could.

I found this book boring and ridiculous. The characters were so unbelievable and immature. The plot was an excellent one, but the characters ruined it. Poppy wants to own her own restaurant but is stuck working at pizza place that she hates. She has broken up with her controlling boyfriend and deals with self-esteem and weight issues. She works with her gay friend Arnold. I found him very unamusing. They wrote in all the stereotypes of being gay into this character and others. Which is very sad. After watching a chef die at a bake-off, they try to find the murderer to get the chef, who is their idol, off from the crime. It reminded me of Dumb and Dumber. The sentences were choppy. The book was broken up so you didn't know what was going on. They more or less put the end in the middle. No suspense or mystery. I wouldn't have finished this book, and that is unusual for me, but I took it as a review book. I didn't even want to give it one star. - 1 star

Kyle and Rebecca have been friends since childhood. Even in their child-like ways, pledged their love forever to one another. Kyle helps run his father's ranch and is in training with the sheriff to become a deputy. Kyle has a knack for investigating and solving issues. Rebecca moved away to California when her mother remarried a gentle man who wants to mine for gold. Ten years later, Kyle discovers where she is and goes to find her and hopefully bring her back home to be his wife. But Kyle finds that Rebecca has changed and is close to being betrothed to another man. When Rebecca's mother and her half sister decide to go back to Wyoming for a visit, Kyle feels that once she is back home, her feeling for him will return. During their absence, her step-fathers mines are being robbed. Mrs. Price asks Kyle and his friend Tom to come back to California to help discover the bandits who are doing this. This is when everything hits the fan. This is a clean, inspirational, historical romance with suspense and mystery added in. If you like a lot of scripture readings, you will enjoy this book. I felt it was a bit too much and for me, took away from the story line at times. 4 stars

Magic and spells, demons and angels are not my usual genre, but Nora Roberts is the best of bringing this to me in a fantastic way. Book 2 of the trilogy. It brings together Fox, Gage and Caleb for the seven days of madness every 7 years at Hawkins Hollow. The evil storm is beginning to rage. This year they feel better prepared to final kill and finish the demon and return the Pagan Stone to one. Layla, Quinn and Cybil are somehow connected to the demon and each have a special gift. This is a story about the relationships of all of them. So more romantic than others. Layla is apprehensive of her gift. There is sexy romance, so much suspense, mystery and intrigue in this book. I so loved the bantering and teasing between the characters. This book kept me on the edge of my seat through the entire time. The creepiness of this story just gets better and better with every page. I would give this way more than five stars for review if I could. I can't wait to read the next one. BRAVO!! BRAVO!!

Henrietta Arnold has been abandoned by her husband of less than a day. The house they bought was sold out from under her over a week ago and the solicitor has given her only days to vacate. In torment and shame, she returns to her families home. She will never marry or have children and has sent out letters to convents. Never being an over spiritual person, she feels this is the only life for her now. The surprise comes when her parents tell her that a Duke, no less, has asked for her hand. First of all, how can she marry another when she is still married and has no idea where he husband is and the biggest question...WHY? Louis Montague, the Duke of Warwick has never forgotten the beautiful woman he once laid eyes on years ago. After hearing the plight of her marriage, he feels this is his chance. But there is a secret he has yet to divulge to her. I really enjoyed this book. It had a different and unique plot that I haven't seen in other historical romances books. There were times it got a bit dragged out, but the characters were well defined and strong and some suspense and sexy romance. I would definitely recommend this book for those who really enjoy a historical romance. The downside of this book is the Introduction is the wrong one for the book, and the extended epilogue was the wrong one. So I never did the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy.

North Pointe is a community where there is no place or acceptance for those who are NOT perfect. The privileged live lives under a microscope. So when a young girl is found murdered in the swimming pool for her best friends home, it breaks that perfection to bits. The plot was an excellent one. A great murder mystery. I am usually pretty good at guessing the "who did it" early, but the ending blew me away. The cons I had for this book was: Too many characters to keep track of and who belonged to who and many sounded the same, etc., too much "blast" from the past. I would have enjoyed reading about the characters pasts earlier to define the characters then to have it thrown thought-out the book. I found it distracting. The end of the book should have ended with the epilogue. The extended epilogue had a big whole between the epilogue and that. I wanted to know more about what happened in-between 10 years than just getting little snippets. Had a lot of potential, but I just didn't get that. I would still recommend the book. 3 stars

Emily has always felt that there is some sort of mystery regarding her family. So when her dear grandmother dies, she heads to England. Finding out in her grandmothers will, she will not get her inheritance unless she marries before her 21st birthday. While attending a ball, she meets the mysterious, handsome Lord Maximillian Camborne, who just so happens to live in the Radcliffe House in Cornwall. Her grandmothers home as a child. Her and her best friend Amanda are invited to Radcliffe where Emily hopes to learn all the secrets. Romance, mystery and suspense is the welcome. I thought the story line of this book was wonderful. Loved all the intrigue and darkness of it. I can usually figure out the "who dunnit" but this ending was a complete surprise. For me it was a very long read. Bravo to that. Dragged out a bit too much. I found it also to have numerous grammatical, syntax and spelling errors which took away from the story a bit. All in all a very fun story. 4 stars

Book 3 in the Trilogy. Story of the last couple Cybil and Gage. Two who are so different and swore they would not be the third couple in the group. The bantering between them was many times entertaining. Cybil lost her father to suicide and Gage was severely abused by his father when he was young. Both bring their own fears and baggage into the group. But they also bring the gift of seeing what might come in the future with their magic. So when they try to line up, the evil and fear is immense and hopefully isn't the true insight on how this will all end. Now the Pagan Stone is back to one and this is the last chance to kill the evil demon. It's do or die for them and the town. I just loved this ending and am very sad to see the series end. The story had that spicy, anticipating romance, mystery, suspense, humor, forgiveness, love and friendship. I just absolutely loved this series. I would give it more than a 5 star review if I could.

Three stories of three handsome cowboys with thick, bad boy, rogue qualities. Until that special woman comes into their lives and smooth's out those rough edges. Every character has some sort of baggage they carry around with them, and each couple find a way to get rid of it and love intensely. Each story is a fun, romantic and sometimes suspenseful one. Very well defined in each their own way. I love the strength of each woman when they don't back down to the norms. Spicy, romantic, heartwarming. I enjoyed each story in this book. One of Diana Palmers best.

This book was such a fun story to read. Two people who are like oil and water put together to save reputations and businesses. Heather Bailey is the daughter of a very successful, wealthy merchant. Lord Adam Waterford is close to losing everything after his fathers missed dealings. His friend has arranged a meeting and hopefully marriage with one of the Bailey daughters. Because Heather is her fathers right hand woman when it comes to his earnings and business, he wishes to marry off the youngest, Jasmine first. Unbeknownst to all of them, Jasmine is in love with a soldier and refuses to marry this awful man. Mr. Bailey will pay off Adam's debts and redo their estates if he marries Jamine. Adam wants neither of them but will do what is best to save his family. What a surprise when the bride lifts her veil in their bedchamber the night of their wedding. The extended epilogue was so beautiful. This book was so heartwarming. A wonderful clean historical romance filled with intrigue, romance, love, forgiveness, sadness and even humor at times. I would definitely recommend this book. Excellent!! 5 stars

A sweet romance, but it did drag on a bit. Could have been condensed some and and still be a wonderful story. Sophia is mistaken as a part of Society when the handsome Duke of Berkshire saves her from disaster. Sophia continues to play the role to hopefully get to be friends with Guy so he may sponsor her family to keep them from destitute and that she won't have to marry a horrendous man. Her sister Rachel is very ill and the debt has gotten out of control. But as the lie goes on and on, they fall for each other and Sophia is at a point of no return before she has to be honest with the Duke. I really enjoyed the story line, but found I had little sympathy for the character of Sophia. It is a clean historical romance novel with romance, suspense, forgiveness and honor of family. All in all a delightful book. 4 stars
